On that day, Choi Ja mentioned Sung Si-kyung as his rival in the mukbang world. Choi said, “It feels like Sung Si-kyung suddenly appeared and monopolized everything. There are places he likes that he has to get booked for no matter what. If that continues, the owner will stop responding to my requests and eventually give up,” he said.
He continued, “So I have a lot of worries. I thought the owner was closer to me, but there have been times when I felt he was closer to Sung Si-kyung. There’s a really great makguksu restaurant I love. I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of won there and have greeted the owner many times, but when I asked for a booking for the show, I was told it wouldn’t work out and was rejected,” he recalled.
He added, “I was feeling disappointed, but I saw a restaurant I recognized a lot on Sung Si-kyung’s YouTube. It was my own hangover spot, and I got upset and didn’t go for two months,” he said.
