Actor Lee Jang-woo announced his marriage in front of broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo and comedian Park Na-rae.
In the episode of MBC’s ‘I Live Alone’ aired on the 4th, the 4th Palm Oil Seminar featuring Jeon Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae, and Lee Jang-woo was depicted.
On this day, Lee Jang-woo said, “I have set a wedding date. I will get married on November 23,” and handed a letter he wrote himself to Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae. After receiving the letter, Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae asked Lee Jang-woo to read it aloud.
Lee Jang-woo expressed to Park Na-rae, “You are my sister who is really warm-hearted, takes care of people well, and always expresses herself first. At first, I was a bit cautious because you were my senior, but at some point, you became the most comfortable sister to me. I am so grateful to have shared the most delicious and happy moments in the world with you and through the name Palm Oil. I think I was able to get married because I had a sister who invited my future wife Jo Hye-won to our home and shared good stories.”
He continued, “I will get married this fall. And at the same time, I think this will be the last for Palm Oil. I feel very sad and regretful, but I want to take a step forward thinking, as you always said, ‘Courage is needed for happiness.’ I sincerely thank you for the infinite affection, food, and care you have given me that I cannot express in words.”
Park Na-rae shared in an interview with the production team, “It felt really strange. It felt similar to sending off a younger brother to marriage. I felt proud, but I was also sad thinking, ‘What will happen to Palm Oil? Will it disappear?’”
Lee Jang-woo told Jeon Hyun-moo, “It’s already been a few years since I first met you at the Rainbow gathering. Honestly, you were a bit scary back then. You spoke well and seemed to see through everything. But as time passed, I realized how warm-hearted you are and how you can genuinely care for someone.”
He added, “I sincerely thank you for always being there for me like a brother, a friend, and sometimes like a nagging person. I will never forget the laughter and affection you created with Palm Oil for the rest of my life. And please come to my wedding and say just one thing: ‘Lee Jang-woo has grown well.’” Hearing this, Jeon Hyun-moo became emotional.
Lee Jang-woo also asked Jeon Hyun-moo to officiate his wedding. Lee Jang-woo joked, “You are older, and it’s not like it’s predetermined who should do it, right?”
Jeon Hyun-moo stated in an interview with the production team, “I think I didn’t know Lee Jang-woo well. I was very surprised after reading the letter. I felt, ‘He was such an emotional person,’ and ‘He thinks of me this much.’”
