Vocalist Im Hyung-joo shared the behind-the-scenes story of standing on the stage of the late President Roh Moo-hyun's inauguration ceremony.
On the 25th, Im Hyung-joo appeared as a guest on EBS1 and E Channel's 'Seo Jang-hoon's Neighbor Millionaire'.
On that day, Im Hyung-joo talked about singing the national anthem at the late President Roh Moo-hyun's inauguration ceremony at the age of 17, the youngest in history, saying, "President Roh Moo-hyun was young, fresh, and presented a new government at that time. He thought, 'Let's give the authoritative national anthem to a 17-year-old boy.' There was a lot of controversy about it. They said, 'He's too young,' and 'Who is Im Hyung-joo, not Jo Sumi or Kim Dong-kyu?'"
He continued, "I received the call two weeks before the inauguration ceremony. There were many people who opposed me to that extent. So at first, I thought it was voice phishing."
Im Hyung-joo said, "I was so nervous. I think I was shaking like a aspen tree. But at that time, I didn't know much, so while there was pressure, I wanted to go out quickly and show something. I wanted to prove myself," he smiled.
