Park Bo-gum was brutally attacked by the Oh Jung-se cartel.
In the JTBC weekend drama 'Good Boy' (written by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon) aired on the 22nd, the powerful special team, saved from a crisis thanks to Yoon Dong-joo's (Park Bo-gum) sacrifice, rose again to show the 'hot taste' to Min Joo-young (Oh Jung-se) and his gang.
The beginning was the smuggling route of ephedrine, the raw material for the new drug 'Candy', which was seized in a large-scale operation previously, and the testimony of 'Ppongpil' (Kwon Dong-ho), who was arrested for drug offenses. The special team tracked this down and discovered that the smuggler was set to bring in additional supplies, but was delayed due to customs procedures. This meant that the remaining drug raw materials were still somewhere in Inseong Port. However, a search was impossible without permission from the Customs Service.
The clue came from an unexpected place. Go Man-sik suddenly developed severe hives on his back, caused by being bitten by ants during the seizure of the drug raw materials. It was the same symptom as that found in the venomous ants discovered in a Russian cargo that entered Inseong Port last year.
In response, the Customs Service cooperated to control access to Inseong Port for pest control in the area where the venomous ants appeared, and completely banned the movement of containers in that area. While disguised as a pest control company, they searched the containers and encountered Ma-gwi (Lee Ho-jung), who was looking for ephedrine. After a struggle, she managed to escape, but they successfully seized all the smuggled drug raw materials hidden inside a teddy bear.
As the special team, having achieved results, proudly returned to the Inseong Police Agency with the seized items, Ma-gwi, Leo (Go Jun), Baek Ga (Ahn Se-ho), Oh Jong-gu (Jung Man-sik), and their leader Min Joo-young devised a plan to retrieve the drug raw materials before they were moved to the evidence storage.
Min Joo-young had already accurately grasped the transport route and time of the seized items with information extracted from within the police agency. Using the special team's informant 'Kwang-se' (Jung Jae-won), who was held captive by Leo, he set a trap. Following Min Joo-young's orders, he intentionally leaked information about Min Joo-young's gang's operation to the special team.
At the same time, Oh Jong-gu organized service personnel disguised as protesters to be stationed in front of Inseong City Hall, timed with the movement of the seized items trailer. Following the orders of Inseong Mayor (Seong Ji-roo), Chief Jo Pan-yeol (Kim Eung-soo) deployed all mobile units to suppress the protest, leaving only a minimal number of special team personnel. It was a meticulous scenario by Min Joo-young to incapacitate the special team and take advantage of the gap to retrieve the containers.
Ultimately, an explosive ambush began in the Middle East Tunnel where the seized items trailer was headed. Min Joo-young's gang blocked the entrance to the tunnel with vehicles, and service personnel disguised as construction workers also blocked the tunnel entrance. Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun) and Kim Jong-hyun (Lee Sang-yi), isolated in the tunnel, fought fiercely against the assailants with rifles and batons.
Meanwhile, Yoon Dong-joo and Go Man-sik, who followed behind, took down the service personnel with bare hands and shoulder throws. Shin Jae-hong (Tae Won-seok), who rushed in with the special forces, stumbled after being hit by a Russian mafia vehicle but swung his steel shoulder with all his might. The desperate bloodbath of the 'Good Avengers', depicted with the signature national representative action of 'Good Boy', evoked both tension and sympathy.
Nevertheless, Min Joo-young's evil cartel overwhelmed the special team, and all of them, outnumbered, found themselves in a dire situation. As Yoon Dong-joo's narration goes, "There are days when, despite calculating every breath, tremor, and wind, a bullet goes off course, like a damn stray bullet," they had no choice but to be caught despite knowing that internal police information was leaking and Min Joo-young's operation.
However, having barely broken through the wave of violence that filled the tunnel, Yoon Dong-joo stole an enemy's motorcycle and charged back into the tunnel. Whether he could prevent Min Joo-young from seizing the trailer was a strong hint that the fight was not over yet.
