"The actor I am closest to is Seol Kyung-gu sunbaenim. I got his permission."

Actor Park Eun-bin (32) expressed satisfaction with her performance alongside actor Seol Kyung-gu, whom she worked with for the first time, and referred to him as her "closest actor."

The Disney+ series 'Hyperknife' is a medical thriller that depicts the intense conflict between 'Jung Se-ok' (Park Eun-bin), a once-promising genius doctor, and her mentor 'Choi Deok-hee' (Seol Kyung-gu), who brought her downfall. It concluded on the 9th with a total of 8 episodes.

Park Eun-bin opened up by saying, "I was curious about Seol Kyung-gu sunbaenim. I had only seen him in movies, and it was my first time meeting him in person." She continued, "There weren't as many scenes where we were together as I expected. So, I tried to talk to him and get close whenever we had downtime during filming."

She added, "During breaks, instead of being alone, sunbaenim would sit behind the filming monitor. So, I went over to him and attempted various small talks. We never discussed acting. I asked him about trivial things and shared things about myself. I was almost like a question mark murderer. Eventually, I said, 'I'm not usually like this' while continuing to throw questions at him," which brought laughter.

Park Eun-bin's efforts were not just for socializing. She emphasized, "I think conversations with sunbaenim were essential for this project. I felt anxious that I might be the only one in the car heading towards the destination (the direction of the drama). So, I think I was the first to ask him about various aspects on set. I expanded the conversation by asking if he had different thoughts."

She also mentioned, "He is the actor I have had the most conversations with in a drama so far. I genuinely think he is my closest actor in the industry. I even asked him if I could call him 'my closest actor' when someone asks, and he gave me his permission," showcasing her playful side as a junior.

Both Park Eun-bin and Seol Kyung-gu are veteran actors with over 30 years of experience in acting. Even in their everyday conversations, the acting aspect naturally emerged.

Park Eun-bin shared, "Sunbaenim advised me, 'Don't trust anyone.' He told me to focus on more objective evaluations rather than internal assessments, meaning to ponder over the audience's feedback after the work reaches them," which helped her refocus.

Additionally, Park Eun-bin mentioned her co-star Yoon Chan-young, who played 'Seo Young-joo,' saying, "He has a very good attitude. He was a serious person. I felt like I met a younger brother who respects me a lot," and added, "He existed well without needing to be overly concerned. His struggles with the character were beautiful. Seeing juniors who love their characters makes me feel good."

In conclusion, Park Eun-bin stated, "I didn't intend to break away from my existing good image through this role. I just focused on trying a role I hadn't done before," and expressed, "I approach each drama role as if I'm introducing a new friend to the audience. I'm grateful that they accept it well," leaving a confident outlook for her future acting.

Having successfully wrapped up 'Hyperknife,' Park Eun-bin is currently busy filming her next project, 'The Wonderfuls.'
