YouTuber Pani Bottle drew attention by confessing that he has a girlfriend.
In the 7th episode of the MBC entertainment program ‘Born to Travel the World 4’ (directed by Kim Ji-woo, hereafter ‘Taegeuk Ilju 4’), which aired on the 22nd, the story of three brothers heading to the Naxi village in the mountains of Chama Gudo unfolded.
According to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast recorded a viewership rating of 5.9% based on households in the metropolitan area, setting a new record for the highest viewership rating of season 4. In particular, the 2049 viewership rating, a key indicator for advertisers, also broke its own record at 3.0%, and it ranked first among all entertainment programs aired on Sundays, showcasing unmatched popularity.
The peak viewership rating during the broadcast soared to 7.4%, with the ‘best one minute’ being the scene where Kian84 boasted about his friendship with G-Dragon to the Naxi sisters, only to reveal that it was a broadcast capture photo and apologize, providing unpredictable laughter. The heartfelt emotion from Pani Bottle's surprise love confession and the quirky charm of Kian84 created a perfect harmony, capturing both viewership and buzz.
The three brothers tasted ‘dried rib hot pot’, which can only be eaten in Lijiang, Yunnan Province. Surprised by the unfamiliar visuals and taste, they stimulated the viewers' appetites from the beginning. Kian84 showcased his ‘Kian-style eating show’ by tearing the ribs with his teeth and then spitting them out to wrap them up, causing chaos on site.
Afterward, the three brothers headed to the Naxi village for a ‘road trip’, which was on Lee Si-eon's bucket list. Despite the rough roads with sharp curves reminiscent of internal organs and falling rocks, Pani Bottle continued the journey, demonstrating stable driving skills.
The Naxi village, located deep in Chama Gudo, still retains traditional lifestyles, such as using mules. The scenery reminiscent of an ancient village and the uniquely structured houses heightened the viewers' immersion. Additionally, Kian84, who met the Naxi sisters, continued the village exploration with them.
At the place where they met the village elder ‘Dongpa’, an unexpected super secret of Pani Bottle was revealed. Dongpa, who practices astrology in a traditional way, stated to Pani Bottle, “You have a girlfriend,” causing Jang Do-yeon and Han Hye-jin to stand up in shock, covering their mouths. Pani Bottle then coolly admitted to his relationship, and Jang Do-yeon responded, “That’s cool,” creating a warm atmosphere.
Additionally, Lee Si-eon surprised everyone by tripping over his foot while rushing back to the accommodation due to a bathroom issue. Kian84, who initially said, “It’s annoying,” tried to move quickly but showed a tsundere side by personally going to pick up Lee Si-eon for dinner, eliciting laughter.
The three brothers were invited to the Naxi sisters' home for a meal. Curiosity arose when they heard that the sisters had three parents, revealing that they were part of a large family with three layers of in-laws, surprising the viewers with a scene reminiscent of a drama. Kian84 then showcased a moment of a grandson visiting a rural home, perfectly synchronized with the local atmosphere.
The next day, the three brothers helped the Naxi sisters with farming. After working hard, they had lunch with a Naxi-style meal. Kian84 asked, “Do you know G-Dragon?” and showed a photo of himself with G-Dragon to the sisters, only to find out that it was a broadcast capture, causing laughter in the studio.
The final journey of the three brothers heading to ‘Shangri-La’, the destination of Chama Gudo, will be revealed on June 29 at 9:10 PM on MBC’s ‘Born to Travel the World 4’.
