Moon Seo-yoon (stage name Annie, 24), the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group Chairman Lee Myung-hee and the eldest daughter of Shinsegae CEO Jeong Yoo-kyung, will debut today (23rd) with the mixed group All Day Project.
All Day Project (Annie, Tarzan, Bailey, Woo-chan, Young-seo) will release their debut single 'FAMOUS' and the title track 'WICKED' today, taking their first step into the music industry.
All Day Project is a five-member mixed group under The Black Label, led by Teddy, who has produced music for top K-pop artists, and has garnered significant attention even before their debut due to Moon Seo-yoon's participation.
Moon Seo-yoon was previously involved in debut rumors when photos of her with trainees from The Black Label's girl group Miyao were released last year. However, she will be debuting with All Day Project instead of Miyao.
In a debut documentary video released on her YouTube channel on the 13th, Moon Seo-yoon revealed that she chose the path of a singer despite her family's opposition.
She shared that she developed her dream after watching the music video for 2NE1 and Big Bang's 'Lollipop' at the age of 7, and when she expressed her desire to become a singer, her mother, CEO Jeong Yoo-kyung, responded, "Is that a reasonable thing to say? Absolutely not."
However, despite the ongoing opposition, she could not give up on her dream, and after her mother suggested that she would help persuade the rest of the family if she got into college, she sacrificed sleep to prepare for entrance exams and was accepted into Columbia University in the U.S.
Moon Seo-yoon stated, "I think people will doubt my sincerity about this path and have many suspicions," and added, "I believe I need to show more to prove how earnest I am about this dream."
Now, as she takes her first step not as 'Jeong Yoo-kyung's daughter' but as 'Annie', will Moon Seo-yoon be able to win the public's choice with her music? Attention is focused on the new song from All Day Project, which will be released today.
