Former actor and shaman Lee Geon-joo reunited with his brother and confirmed their special feelings for each other.
On the 17th, the TV Chosun show ‘Dad and Me’ depicted Lee Geon-joo reuniting with his brother who was adopted to France.
On this day, Lee Geon-joo visited the home of his brother's adoptive parents. After 18 years, he met his adoptive parents again and couldn't hide his overwhelming emotions, saying, "It all feels like a dream. I'm so happy to see you."
He continued, "My adoptive parents welcomed me with smiles, just like they did 18 years ago. Seeing the wrinkles that have formed over the years makes me feel sorry for coming late and grateful for raising my brother well."
The adoptive parents smiled and said, "We hoped for the two of you to meet again. But Lee Geon-joo came, and the house is still the same. We will show you what family means."
Meanwhile, the brother shared a story about the conflicts they experienced due to communication errors 18 years ago, saying, "At that time, I could have stayed and talked it out instead of leaving for France, but I wasn't mature enough, and if something didn't sit right with me, I would just pack my bags and go."
In response, Lee Geon-joo expressed regret, saying, "As an older brother, I should have comforted my brother a bit more and asked if he was okay, but when he got upset and left, I just told him to go. I was immature."
Lee Geon-joo also shed tears, asking, "Why couldn't our siblings be ordinary?" He added, "If we had spent time together since we were young, we would have been less lonely. There were moments when we needed each other."
The brother conveyed his heartfelt feelings, saying, "Since my brother returned, the wounds inside me have disappeared. Even when I wasn't alone, I felt lonely, but now that my brother is here, I am no longer lonely." He then clumsily said in Korean, "I love you. Hyung," evoking a sense of emotion.
Later, in an interview with the production team, Lee Geon-joo said, "It was a journey where my family was gradually being filled. I felt that my brother was perfectly entering my life and my existence. I was happy to feel that I have family in France and that we are becoming one."
