Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, presenting the finale of the globally acclaimed 'Squid Game' series, urged, "Please support us until the end."

At the production presentation for Netflix's original series 'Squid Game Season 3' held on the morning of the 9th at Seoul Dragon City in Hangangro 3-ga, Director Hwang began by saying, "I wanted to pose questions rather than deliver a message."

He explained, "Many people have seen the trailer, so they might have some idea of the plot. The story revolves around Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who, after losing most of his friends, including his closest friend Jung-bae, at the end of the rebellion in Season 2, falls into guilt and despair and then rises again. It’s a story about human faith, and it would be good to focus on the differences in values between Seong Gi-hun and the Frontman."

He further elaborated, "If there are many side effects occurring in a capitalist society, it would be the despair and frustration gained from excessive competition and the endless stimulation of human desire. Within that, I wanted to pose the question, 'Can we create a better world? Can we pass on sustainable happiness to future generations?'"

Reflecting on the journey so far, Director Hwang said, "About five years have passed. Thank you for being with us until the last moment," and added, "I made this with all my heart and to the best of my ability. Please support us until the end."

The production presentation was attended by cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yu-ri, Chae Guk-hee, Lee Da-wit, No Jae-won, and Director Hwang Dong-hyuk.

'Squid Game 3' tells the story of Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who loses his best friend in the re-participated game, the Frontman (played by Lee Byung-hun) who participated in the game while hiding his identity, and the final fates of the participants who survived in the game.

'Squid Game' Season 3 will be released on Netflix on the 27th.
