The 26th season of 'I Am Solo' showed a drastically changed love line after two dates.
On the broadcast of SBS Plus and ENA's real dating program 'I Am Solo' on the 28th, the swirling 'Solo Nara 26' was revealed after 'Random Date' and 'Late Night Date'.
During the 'Random Date' selection, the single men and women matched through the number of roses in a bouquet. Here, Young-sook paired with Sang-cheol, and Jeong-sook paired with Kyung-soo. Soon-ja had a '2:1 date' with Young-ho and Young-sik, while the 'popular girl' Hyun-sook ended up with Young-cheol. Additionally, Ok-soon paired with Young-soo, and Young-ja paired with Kwang-soo.
Once all the pairings were done, Young-soo visited the room of the single women to discuss the date menu. However, Ok-soon coldly brought up a conversation she had with Young-sook, saying, “You didn’t have any interest in me, but didn’t you tell Young-sook that you wanted to talk to me after I was your first impression choice?” Just then, Young-sook passed by and said, “Just pretend you don’t know and enjoy the date~,” but Ok-soon expressed her displeasure, saying, “How can I enjoy it when I’m not feeling good?”
Entering the date with an awkward atmosphere, Ok-soon continued to express her disappointment. She said, “Even though I chose you as my first impression, you didn’t suggest coffee or a walk, nor did you choose me for the date,” and eventually exploded, saying, “I can’t talk to you, it’s not because I have a special interest in you as my number one.”
Fortunately, thanks to Young-soo's skillful conversation leading, the two became closer through their commonality of being from Busan, and after the date, Ok-soon revealed in an interview with the production team, “The date was fun, but I was disappointed that we couldn’t have a rational conversation.”
From the start of the date, Young-sook praised Sang-cheol, saying, “He is the most outstanding among the male participants.” Sang-cheol, pleased with this, gave Young-sook a 'storm of advice' as a 'food consultant.' However, Young-sook expressed her concern, saying, “I think eating is important, but can we create a better chemistry?” Sang-cheol also confessed in an interview with the production team that “I can’t hold feelings for multiple people,” indicating that his heart was solely for Jeong-sook.
Soon-ja developed feelings for Young-ho during the '2:1 date' with Young-ho and Young-sik. Throughout the date, she smiled at Young-ho's witty remarks, and at the end of the date, she stated in front of the production team, “My feelings for Young-ho have increased.”
After the 'Random Date' ended, the single men and women gathered at the accommodation to share their date reviews. Here, Young-sook hinted at her interest in Sang-cheol, saying, “After getting to know him once, I want to know more,” while Jeong-sook, who had developed feelings for Sang-cheol, revealed in front of the production team, “I was sulking,” and acknowledged that she realized she had been jealous, indicating a competitive mode with Young-sook.
The single men also shared their thoughts; Young-ho gave a hint to Kwang-soo, who is 'Hyun-sook's admirer,' saying, “I want to have a conversation with Hyun-sook at least once.” Kwang-soo replied, “I’m okay because I’m going straight on my own.” Meanwhile, Young-soo and Ok-soon had a coffee time together at the accommodation, and Ok-soon admitted her feelings for Young-soo, saying, “He was closer to 0 than 1.”
As the night deepened, the 'Late Night Date' selection took place. In the 'Late Night Date' chosen by the single women, Young-ho received picks from Young-sook, Soon-ja, and Hyun-sook, becoming the 'Chair King' again after the 'first impression selection.' Sang-cheol was chosen by Jeong-sook and Young-ja, while Ok-soon chose Young-soo. As a result, Kwang-soo, Young-cheol, Young-sik, and Kyung-soo became the '0 Vote Brothers' as they did not receive any selections from the single women.
Young-ho, who became the 'All Kill Man,' said, “(Being in a multi-person situation) is my destiny,” but also expressed his joy, saying, “When will I get to talk to three such wonderful women?” On the other hand, Kwang-soo expressed his feelings of betrayal towards Hyun-sook, saying, “You promised to go on a date with me but didn’t come? I feel like I’ve fallen into the abyss.”
Young-ho, the 'Chair King,' asked the single women why they chose him. Soon-ja replied, “Because you’re the most comfortable,” and Hyun-sook said, “Because I’ve never had a conversation with you.” In response, Young-ho said, “I wanted to talk to Hyun-sook since the first interview.”
After the date, Soon-ja declared in front of the production team, “I think it’s over. I will go straight for Young-ho.” On the other hand, Young-sook showed a change in her feelings, saying, “I think I was the only one who was cold. I thought I might not really want to get to know Young-ho.”
Hyun-sook expressed, “I wonder if it was just a fan feeling for Young-ho, but I can’t end it like that,” and revealed that she would decide everything after having a '1:1 date' with Young-ho. Young-ho conveyed his intention to focus on both women, saying, “Soon-ja is still my 'number one,' but I also want to talk to Hyun-sook.”
Reflecting on the pain of '0 votes,' Kwang-soo had a phone call with an acquaintance in Iraq. He shed tears, saying, “I grew up precious, but everything is not easy here,” and continued, “It’s the first time I waited for someone who didn’t come,” lamenting his unrequited love for Hyun-sook.
Immediately after, scenes of Sang-cheol being surprised by Young-ja, who is going straight for him, Kwang-soo shedding tears in front of Hyun-sook, and Hyun-sook approaching Young-ho, saying, “I thought you were cool since the first appearance,” were captured, hinting at the tangled romance of the 26th season.
