Actress Park Won-sook revealed anecdotes from her family of big eaters.
On the 26th, KBS2’s ‘Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together’ featured Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, Hong Jin-hee, and Yoon Da-hoon embarking on a special hobby journey.
On this day, Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, Hong Jin-hee, and Yoon Da-hoon enjoyed a splendid feast of chicken, tteokbokki, and more for their cheat day. Park Won-sook exclaimed, “There are so many delicious foods in Korea.” Hong Jin-hee agreed, saying, “After getting older, living in Korea is the best compared to abroad.”
At that moment, family medicine specialist Park Yong-woo visited the 강화 house. Invited by Yoon Da-hoon, Park Yong-woo said, “Yoon Da-hoon asked me, ‘I have healthy sisters, what should they do to stay healthy like they are now?’”
Seeing the tteokbokki the four were eating, Park Yong-woo pointed out, “The problem with tteokbokki is not the rice cake, but the sugar that goes into the making process. Nowadays, young people like spicy tteokbokki, right? The problem is that the sweetness hides in the spiciness. Both the spicy and sweet flavors are addictive, making it hard to stop.”
Park Yong-woo stated, “In fact, I am an expert in food addiction research. Many people are falling into carbohydrate addiction these days, but I don’t agree that we should struggle to quit such foods even as we get older. We should live pursuing happiness now.”
He continued, “However, once you fall into addiction, it’s not easy. You should check if you are not falling into food addiction.”
Park Yong-woo helped the four with a self-diagnosis test for food addiction. Among them, Park Won-sook strongly resonated with the statement, “I eat faster than others.” She said, “Even when I’m not working, I eat quickly. It’s a habit I’ve had for decades.”
Park Won-sook shared, “My family loved to eat. We would eat a lot, share digestive medicine, and eat again.” She mentioned her belief of “Let’s eat while we can” and the consciousness that “Gaining a little weight makes you look classy,” laughing, “In the past, a slim body wouldn’t even be acknowledged.”
