'Single and Solo' concluded its season with the 20th episode, showcasing the candid and straightforward charm of Ye Ji-won and Park Eun-hye. MC and cast member Hwang Jung-eum, who was indicted on embezzlement charges, was completely edited out.
In the episode aired on the 20th, the joint production variety show 'Single and Solo' featured the two MCs along with 'Single Sister' Ye Ji-won and Park Eun-hye.
On that day, Ye Ji-won, who lives with her 90-year-old mother, made kale apple juice as soon as she woke up. Shortly after, Ye Ji-won's mother appeared, saying, "I should eat some baguette," and prepared her own breakfast. Notably, Ye Ji-won's mother looked so youthful that she could easily pass for being in her 70s, surprising everyone.
While preparing the meal, Ye Ji-won asked her mother, "Would you like a fried egg?" However, her mother firmly rejected, saying, "I don't like eggs." A little later, Ye Ji-won offered her mother the juice she made, and her mother reluctantly accepted it, saying, "We should only be together for 30 minutes a day," and quickly finished her breakfast before leaving, bringing laughter.
Once her mother went out, Ye Ji-won called her junior, Yoo Jeong-ha, and British actor Harry, who had recently filmed a movie together in Florence, Italy, asking for help to move items from the logistics warehouse.
The three quickly went to the warehouse, moved the items, and returned to Ye Ji-won's house. The two juniors also helped move furniture from Ye Ji-won's closet, and an impressed Ye Ji-won said, "This is definitely not comparable to what I do. I'm envious of your strength. Where can I find a (man) like you?" she lamented cutely.
After efficiently organizing the items, Ye Ji-won treated her two juniors to a homemade rockfish and octopus soup, pork belly, and specially ordered nurungji baeksuk (rice porridge). In the warm atmosphere, Harry brought up the topic of 'dating', casually asking, "Sister, since you have so much energy, you might match well with someone younger. Are you considering dating a Korean?"
Watching this, Shin Dong-yeop noted, "Even though Ye Ji-won is putting up a wall, I can feel Harry trying to sneak in," pointing out the subtle tension. However, Ye Ji-won quickly dismissed it, saying, "Not at all!" and added, "I think Harry won't answer my calls anymore," eliciting laughter.
Following Ye Ji-won, Park Eun-hye's day unfolded.
Park Eun-hye, a 'camping expert', loaded her car with camping gear and headed to the campsite. She quickly set up her tent alone, creating a cozy home, and prepared camping dishes like crab soup and chicken skewers. During this time, her high school friends visited the campsite, marking the start of 'Eun-hye Camping'.
The two friends presented Park Eun-hye with a cake and a bikini for her birthday, to which she responded, "Thank you so much! Actually, I'm going on a trip abroad with friends this time. It's my first trip without the kids," expressing her excitement. She continued, "I spent my first birthday after the divorce with friends. I was surprised that many people sent me gifts."
While enjoying camping food with her friends, Park Eun-hye reminisced about the past. She shared stories from her high school days when she was known as the 'most beautiful girl', including a confession from a boy who shouted "Park Eun-hye! I love you~" on the playground and how she could quickly get basketball tickets thanks to her looks, which amazed everyone.
During the conversation, her close friends suddenly asked, "Are there moments when you wish you had a boyfriend?" Park Eun-hye honestly replied, "When it's my birthday or a special event? I can't do it alone..."
Her friends laughed and said, "What about when a snake (shedding its skin) came out at your house?" and then asked, "You should have a boyfriend. What kind of boyfriend do you want?" Park Eun-hye replied, "Someone who can quietly listen to me!" and confessed, "I'm open to a good person if they come along."
In response, MC Shin Dong-yeop remarked, "You probably haven't been idle for the past nine years (since the divorce)," to which Park Eun-hye humorously replied, "They probably wouldn't have left me alone," filling the studio with laughter.
At the end of the camping trip, Park Eun-hye expressed a mix of emotions, saying, "Maybe I should have gone to Songdo where you live." Her friends comforted her, saying, "They say women can live well as long as they have friends, even after a divorce."
As the warm friendship among the three was conveyed to the viewers, 'Single and Solo' concluded its season with the 20th episode and plans to take some time for reorganization before meeting the audience again.
