The photo shoot of actress Hong Soo-hyun has been revealed.
In the recent photo shoot for the June issue of At Style, Hong Soo-hyun showcased her elegant yet captivating figure.
Hong Soo-hyun was officially invited to the non-competitive section of the 2025 Cannes International Series Festival with her first lead role in a horror film, "Children's Ghost Stories." After 25 years since her debut, she expressed her heartfelt emotions, saying, "I never thought the day would come when I would stand on such a grand stage as Cannes. It was truly overwhelming that this dream has become a reality."
In the omnibus horror thriller "Children's Ghost Stories," she challenged herself with a dual role in the episode "It's the Same." She revealed, "During the filming of 'Children's Ghost Stories,' I completely shut out my daily life and focused solely on this project. To clearly express the subtle differences between the two characters required immense immersion and concentration," showcasing her exceptional passion for acting.
Regarding the recently concluded popular drama "Treasure Island," she said, "Honestly, I enjoyed it a bit (laughs). From the moment I received the script, I thought, 'This is going to be really fun,' and while filming, everyone acted so well that it was enjoyable."
About her character Cha Guk-hee, who left a strong impression, she added, "Guk-hee tries hard to appear strong, but in reality, she is a character with no strength at all. I hoped that her childish side would come across as cute."
In her upcoming project "I Will Substitute for Your Travel," she hinted at a completely different charm. She stated, "After a revenge drama and a horror film, I will be showing a healing story. In this work, I plan to showcase my lovely charm. There will also be a love line with senior actor Yoo Jun-sang, so please look forward to it."
Regarding her constant transformations, she expressed, "I really enjoy changing my acting style and have no resistance to it at all. Playing a villain is also really fun. I like characters that stand out and have strong personalities," revealing her confidence as an actress.
When asked about her self-care secrets as a "young-looking actress," Hong Soo-hyun said, "My laugh lines are getting deeper, and my stamina is not what it used to be," but added, "I really work hard on exercising. I try to do weight training almost every day," showcasing her dedication to self-care.
Having run tirelessly for 25 years, she remains sincere about her acting. Hong Soo-hyun stated, "In the future, I want to challenge myself with various films and OTT projects."
