The new KBS2 variety show 'Going and Coming Jeong Lee Min-jung' (hereafter 'Gaojeong'), which will premiere on the 16th at 9:50 PM, is a program that delivers essential goods to a rural village using a mobile convenience store and spends a night sharing various stories.
Actor Lee Min-jung will serve as the main host, while Boom, Ahn Jae-hyun, Kim Jung-hyun, and Kim Jae-won will join as fixed members, promising to bring cheerful and warm laughter to viewers on Friday nights.
Previously, the 'Gaojeong' production team revealed the fixed members sequentially and hinted at the appearance of super special guests in the future. On May 7, one of the super special guests mentioned by the 'Gaojeong' production team was finally revealed. The star is none other than Korea's top MC, Shin Dong-yeop.
Shin Dong-yeop is the MC responsible for representing major variety programs on KBS2 'Immortal Songs', SBS 'My Little Old Boy', and tvN 'Amazing Saturday'. Moreover, he has proven his strong presence in the entertainment industry by conquering OTT platforms through Coupang Play's comedy show 'SNL Korea'. His YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung', named after himself, has surpassed 1.8 million subscribers. As a result, Shin Dong-yeop won the Male Variety Award at the '61st Baeksang Arts Awards'.
As a self-proclaimed top MC, it is unusual for Shin Dong-yeop to appear as a guest on a variety show. The production team stated that his guest appearance on the new variety show 'Gaojeong' began with his connection to the main host Lee Min-jung. Shin Dong-yeop and Lee Min-jung worked together as MCs on the same program in 2023. Additionally, the long-standing chemistry between Shin Dong-yeop and Boom is also highly anticipated.
