Actor Yoo Jae-myung won the Best Supporting Actor award in the film category at the 'Baeksang Arts Awards'.

The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards took place on the evening of the 5th at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The awards recognize the best works and actors in the fields of broadcasting (TV), film, and theater for the first half of 2024 and 2025. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop, actress and singer Suzy, and actor Park Bo-gum.

Yoo Jae-myung received the Best Supporting Actor award in the film category for his role in the movie 'The Land of Happiness'. The film is based on the true story of Park Heung-joo, a close aide of Kim Jae-kyu, who was involved in the 10.26 incident, and his lawyer Tae Yoon-ki. The cast includes actors Jo Jung-seok, the late Lee Seon-kyun, and Yoo Jae-myung.

Yoo Jae-myung expressed, "I really like the movie 'The Land of Happiness'. I prepared hard to portray this role well, but every time the filming moment approached, I felt anxious. During those times, the director would say, 'I am also anxious about making this film well. Let's create it together.' I am grateful for that courage, comfort, and his warm smile."

He continued, "We had a happy set. I will never forget that night in Jangheung, where I shared drinks and laughed with Seon-kyun, who was like a brother, Jung-seok, and all the staff and actors. I miss my friend who left this world first, and I think it will be a happy night reminiscing about those who worked on the film together."
