Singer Yoon Jong-shin's story of calling the world-renowned architect Antoni Gaudi "brother" will be revealed.

In the tvN entertainment program ‘Alas, Useful Knowledge: Mediterranean’, which airs on the 21st at 10:10 PM, Yoon Jong-shin and the scholars will embark on a journey filled with admiration as they visit the Sagrada Familia, a masterpiece of architect Antoni Gaudi and a symbol of Barcelona. Among them, a scene where Yoon Jong-shin calls Gaudi "brother" has been captured, sparking curiosity about the reason behind it.

In a pre-released video ahead of the main broadcast, an impressive moment was captured where Yoon Jong-shin and the scholars, after getting off the boat, move freely and eventually gather at one location. That location is in front of the Sagrada Familia, the symbol of Barcelona. Without even discussing it, the travelers were drawn to the same place as soon as they got off the boat, clearly showing that the Sagrada Familia symbolizes the identity of Barcelona beyond just being an architectural structure.

First, those who were amazed by its overwhelming scale, which has been under construction for over 140 years, were captivated by the intricate sculptures engraved all over the exterior. In particular, the 'Nativity Facade' located on the east side presents the story of the birth of Jesus through delicate sculptures, including the scene of the three wise men from the Bible worshiping the baby Jesus, instantly capturing the viewer's attention.

As the scholars were admiring the intricacy of the exterior, they could not hide their astonishment as they entered the interior through the bronze doors. Starting with the sculpture of Joseph guarding the entrance, the magnificent decorations adorning the ceiling and the stained glass that turns light into art create an overwhelming spectacle. The high and grand ceiling that makes one instinctively look up, along with the light pouring down over the crucified Jesus, evokes a sense of entering a sacred forest.

Thus, the scholars were left speechless, overwhelmed by the Sagrada Familia, and Yoon Jong-shin expressed his awe by saying, "I think you have to visit a cathedral like this," representing the grandeur of the place.

The masterpiece that leaves one speechless was designed by Antoni Gaudi, the architect beloved by Barcelona. Architect Yoo Hyun-jun explained, "Gaudi is the last representative of classical architecture," and intrigued the audience by noting that he was only 30 years apart from Le Corbusier, a pioneer of modern architecture who established the style of modern apartment complexes.

In response, Yoon Jong-shin shared his impression, saying, "I felt like I was in a space from a sci-fi movie and thought, 'Wow, he was really ahead of his time,' but it's amazing that it was just a little over 100 years ago," and jokingly threw in, "Brother~," casting doubt on Gaudi's era, which brought laughter. Expectations are high for the upcoming fourth episode, which will reveal the hidden stories behind Gaudi and his architecture.

The fourth episode of tvN’s ‘Alas, Useful Knowledge: Mediterranean’ will air on the 21st at 10:10 PM.
