‘SNL Korea’ is receiving a hot response as it introduces three new crew members, Cha Kyung-eun, Jo Min-kyung, and Arata Momoko, who are anything but ordinary for Season 7.

Coupang Play’s ‘SNL Korea’ is a top-tier real comedy show in South Korea, featuring super hosts who reserve the ‘meme star’ spot and a ‘trustworthy’ crew with maxed-out comedic power.

The three new crew members, Cha Kyung-eun, Jo Min-kyung, and Arata Momoko, who joined after fierce competition and garnered attention even before their debut, are now revealing their talents in each episode, seamlessly blending into ‘SNL Korea’ to the point where it’s hard to believe they are new members. Their faces were also highlighted in the main poster, which had previously raised curiosity.

Cha Kyung-eun made a mark with her parody performances, perfectly depicting reality, from a department store employee who repeats the same answers to a writer expressing her struggles with political satire. Continuing her momentum, she appeared as Kwon Hyuk-soo's blind date in the Seo Ye-ji episode, showcasing her pure charm, and transformed into a ‘fickle’ reporter overly conscious of controversies and suspicions, making viewers laugh out loud.

Cha Kyung-eun, who is gaining attention for her duality of good and evil in dramas, movies, and commercials, expressed her excitement about joining ‘SNL Korea’, saying, “It’s an honor to be part of ‘SNL Korea’, which I have longed for. I will do my best moving forward.”

Jo Min-kyung, who left a strong impact as a ‘rodent character’, controlled her ‘anger management issues’ as a cat and made a sensational debut as a sensitive wife who keeps her husband Kim Won-hoon, who is experiencing political turmoil, on edge.

Having gained various experiences as a lead actress in short films, Jo Min-kyung is surprising viewers with her quick adaptation and lack of nervousness, despite being a new crew member. She stated, “I still can’t believe I’m part of the best live show in Korea. I will strive to bring fresh energy.”

Arata Momoko, originally from Japan, caught viewers' attention with her shy yet bold 19+ remarks. In her role as ‘Momoko Reporter’, who came to Korea because she loves it, she showcased her strong presence by speaking fluent Korean but pretending not to understand when faced with uncomfortable questions, while not hesitating to use profanity when intriguing topics arose.

As a versatile entertainer active as an actress and model in Japan, all eyes are on what kind of performance the only foreign member, Arata Momoko, will deliver. She shared, “It feels like a dream to be able to appear on the most famous comedy show in Korea. I will work hard to deliver fresh laughter.”

Particularly, ‘SNL Korea’, known as a gateway for stars, has produced rookie female entertainers like Joo Hyun-young, Kim Ah-young, and Yoon Ga-i, who won the Rookie Female Entertainer Award at the ‘Blue Dragon Series Awards’ for three consecutive years. It is also renowned for discovering new talents, having elevated Ji Ye-eun to the status of a ‘rising star’, so expectations are high for the performances of the new crew members Cha Kyung-eun, Jo Min-kyung, and Arata Momoko in Season 7.

Meanwhile, ‘SNL Korea’ Season 7 is released every Saturday at 8 PM.
