Singer Hong Ji-yoon proudly displayed her improved knife skills.
In the episode aired on the 11th, KBS2’s ‘New Menu Launch Restaurant’ (hereafter ‘Restaurant’) featured the cooking challenge of intern chef Hong Ji-yoon.
On that day, Hong Ji-yoon attended the recording of ‘Restaurant’ as a special MC and was called by Lee Yeon-bok. Lee Yeon-bok asked, “Are you ready to cook?” and suggested a knife skills test, which surprised Hong Ji-yoon.
Hong Ji-yoon showcased her free-spirited knife skills, which left Lee Yeon-bok taken aback. Lee Yeon-bok commented, “That’s 20 out of 100 points. Isn’t knife skills important when you first start cooking? I’ll give you 10 days to practice your knife skills, so give it your best shot.”
Afterward, Hong Ji-yoon began her knife practice. She reportedly chopped 10 heads of cabbage, 12 kg of onions, and 5 bunches of green onions for her training.
As a result, Hong Ji-yoon showed remarkable improvement in her skills. The panelists of ‘Restaurant’ could not hide their surprise upon seeing her progress. Hong Ji-yoon remarked, “I really worked hard. I was covered in sweat.”
