CJ ENM will broadcast live matches organized by the Korea Football Association from this year until 2034.
On the 19th, CJ ENM announced, “We have decided to conduct broadcasts of the national football team in collaboration with TV Chosun, with whom we signed a TV broadcasting rights contract with the Korea Football Association (KFA).” The contract period is from this year until December 31, 2034, spanning 10 years.
CJ ENM will hold the domestic TV live broadcasting rights for matches organized by the KFA over the next 10 years. This includes matches of the men's and women's national football teams, the Olympic team (U-23), and the Korea Cup (formerly FA Cup).
On the 23rd at 4:30 PM, the match between South Korea and China in the men's U22 four-nation tournament (South Korea, China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan) hosted by the Chinese Football Association will be broadcast live on tvN. This friendly tournament is being held as a preparation for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers taking place in September. Football commentators Kim Hwan and caster Yoon Young-joo will be in charge of the broadcast.
CJ ENM stated, “With this KFA broadcasting rights contract, CJ ENM's sports content portfolio has expanded further,” and added, “We will continue to deliver new fun and emotion to viewers through various sports content enriched with the unique enjoyment of tvN.”
