The SBS variety show 'Running Man' aired on the afternoon of the 9th, themed '2025 Running Sponsorship Championship'.
On this day, guests included Heo Kyung-hwan, short track national representative Park Ji-won, and Jang Seong-woo. Park Ji-won humorously stated, "I am currently between 28 and 30 years old. That's half the age of Ji-seok-jin hyung," showcasing his MZ generation vibe.
The production team explained, "We have various sponsors waiting to help you put on a good show. The team with the highest total star count from the sponsors will win. The three members from the losing team with the least stars will face a penalty," and divided the teams.
Kim Jong-kook's team included Jong-kook, Seong-woo, Seok-jin, and Ye-eun, while the remaining members joined Yoo Jae-suk's team. At this point, the sponsors entered, and the production team said, "You can choose 2 sponsors each from 20 options. Only half of the sponsors will provide benefits, while the others will not," giving the members the choice.
Guest Jang Seong-woo chose Lotto and Grasshopper Boiler, while Park Ji-won selected Running Bank and Seok-sam Life.
During filming, Ji-seok-jin requested, "Just give me a cup of coffee," ordering an iced Americano, only to find out he had the benefit of drinking up to 2 cups of Americano for free with each mission.
The first mission, 'King of Mentions', began. The production team explained, "You need to write a line that people would like based on the number you draw." The first question was, "What would you say if you got caught stealing something from your partner's house?" and the members started writing their answers.
Song Ji-hyo said, "I thought it would be hard for you to throw it away, so I tried to throw it away for you," Park Ji-won said, "It looked good," and Yoo Jae-suk said, "I'm really sorry. I did it without realizing. I won't do it again," when it was their turn to present. Haha added to the humor by saying to Kim Jong-kook, "What more would you steal besides a plastic bag anyway?"
It turned out that Yoo Jae-suk drew 92 and Song Ji-hyo drew 80, and by listing their answers in order, all members earned 3 points each.
The second question was, "What would you say to excite your partner before a kiss?" and Ji-yeon seemed flustered, saying, "What should I do? Excite?" Ji-yeon then announced, "I want to have a drink. Your lips," leading the members to speculate, "Ji-yeon has a high number."
Haha humorously said, "Miran, I'm Se-chan and I want you so badly. I love you," connecting with Yang Se-chan and Miran again after three years, causing everyone to burst into laughter. Heo Kyung-hwan combined his catchphrase with an awkward line, saying, "My tongue is in there~," which drew disapproval from the members.
Ji-yeon exclaimed, "Kyung-hwan's 'My tongue is in there' is a bit too vulgar!" and Heo Kyung-hwan retorted, "Isn't Ji-yeon's line something that floats around on the internet?"
While Ji-yeon drew 23, Heo Kyung-hwan showed 54, and ultimately, they miscalculated the rankings and failed the mission.
After moving to a new location, the second mission, 'Cutting MZ', was conducted. The members took turns saying the word 'Romantic Cat', and Yoo Jae-suk's team won decisively with a score of 4 to 0.
Choosing the Running Information Communication Team, Jae-suk gained the benefit of checking the number of stars from 2 sponsors for each mission, and upon hearing this, Heo Kyung-hwan exchanged his sponsor with Ji-seok-jin's popular one.
As lunchtime approached, Yoo Jae-suk's team filled up on braised short ribs, while Kim Jong-kook's team had boiled eggs.
While moving to the next location, Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Ji-won, is there someone you really want to see?" To which Park Ji-won confessed, "I like Winter," and Haha humorously replied, "I'm glad it's not overlapping. I've been trying to forget Karina," making everyone laugh.
Jang Seong-woo shyly confessed, "I like Go Yoon-jung from 'Moving'..." and Ji-seok-jin promoted, "Aespa, Go Yoon-jung, please come out." Meanwhile, Heo Kyung-hwan asked, "What about Ye-eun's ideal type..." and Ji-yeon firmly replied, "There's no possibility," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Upon arriving at the ice rink, the members warmed up before the mission. The production team explained, "The team that enters first in the ice relay wins. The two champions must complete 2 laps first, and the team that enters first will take the inside course. The female members will be tied to a sled as a baton for the relay," outlining the rules.
Park Ji-won suggested, "It would be boring, so should we skate on one foot?" and both Park Ji-won and Jang Seong-woo surprised the members by skating on one foot. As Park Ji-won took the lead, the competition among the members began.
Notably, Kim Jong-kook ran at a noticeably fast speed, widening the gap regardless of whether Ji-yeon crashed into the wall. In the end, Jang Seong-woo and Park Ji-won faced off, and Park Ji-won, as the world number one, skated at high speed. However, Jang Seong-woo from Jong-kook's team crossed the finish line first, leading Jong-kook's team to victory.
At that moment, Park Ji-won exclaimed, "Wait a minute! I'm going to use my reset card," revealing a hidden benefit, which surprised the members.
Ultimately, the second game proceeded, with Park Ji-won entering the finish line first, securing victory for Yoo Jae-suk's team. Ji-seok-jin, Ji-yeon, and Haha, who had the least stars, faced a penalty of lunging home.
