KBS announcers have reported experiencing stalking.
On the afternoon of the 16th, the KBS2 entertainment program ‘The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears’ (hereafter ‘Sadangui’) featured four announcers on duty.
During the broadcast, Um Ji-in said, “You have to be careful when on duty. This is a place where many people pass by, so you never know what might happen. After the 9 PM sports news, I was trying to go out the front door, but there was a drunk person there. They smashed a soju bottle and shouted, ‘Let Um Ji-in out!’ I was so scared that I couldn’t go that way,” sharing a terrifying past experience.
She added, “There was also a foreigner. They sent me messages on social media in a translated tone, saying I had to marry them. They even sent a photo of themselves at Yeouido Park, saying they would wait for me. I was so scared that I couldn’t go to Yeouido Park for a while.”
Announcer Heo Yoo-won shared, “Once, I did the 4 AM news, and every time the news ended, the dressing room phone would ring at 6 AM. When the makeup teacher answered, they would keep asking, ‘Is Heo Yoo-won done?’ The teacher told me not to go out, but I did. Then, someone was standing there. It was a stalker who followed me every time I did the weather report,” revealing her own shocking experience.
Jung Eun-hye also mentioned, “I posted photos of hanging out with friends on social media, and someone commented, ‘Where is that? I’m coming right now.’ They would post days later after that.” Hong Joo-yeon added, “In the past, when I was commuting by bus, there was someone who would wait at the bus stop and talk to me. I couldn’t catch the bus because I had to let them know which bus it was,” empathizing with the experiences of stalking.
‘Sadangui’ can be seen every Sunday at 4:45 PM on KBS2.
