Actor Kim Young-chul transforms into a daily Michelin chef.

In the second part of the Lunar New Year special KBS1 global Korean travel show ‘Kim Young-chul is coming,’ which airs on the 29th, Kim Young-chul is depicted passionately cooking as a daily chef at a Korean restaurant in San Francisco.

On this day’s broadcast, Kim Young-chul visits the home of overseas Korean Michelin chef Hwang Jung-in, who has captivated the taste buds of San Francisco foodies with Korean cuisine, and spends a special day making kimchi with his family.

While mixing the kimchi filling, Kim Young-chul sees Hwang Jung-in, the executive chef who is respected by other chefs at the restaurant, struggling as a helper in front of his mother, and praises her by saying, “My mother is a Michelin five-star chef. She has five stars.”

In response, Hwang Jung-in’s mother playfully retorts with Kim Young-chul’s catchphrase from his drama, “Sadalla,” creating a delightful back-and-forth that turned the scene into a sea of laughter.

Visiting another casual Korean restaurant led by Chef Hwang Jung-in, Kim Young-chul perfectly transforms into a daily chef wearing an apron.

While cutting rice cakes for the soup in front of Michelin chef Hwang Jung-in, Kim Young-chul reportedly said, “I’m nervous cutting in front of a Michelin chef,” sweating profusely, drawing attention.

When asked about the most important virtue a chef should have, Chef Hwang Jung-in revealed his cooking philosophy: “The most important thing is sincerity,” which highlights the efforts and success of overseas Korean chef Hwang Jung-in, who has become the best Korean chef in America, and is truly inspiring.

The second part of ‘Kim Young-chul is coming’ featuring San Francisco will air today (29th) at 9:40 PM.
