Actor Choi Tae-joon became the recipient of the Best Supporting Actor award at the '2024 KBS Acting Awards'.
Choi Tae-joon, from 'Iron Family', expressed his gratitude after winning the Best Supporting Actor award during the broadcast of the '2024 KBS Acting Awards' on the 11th, saying, “It is a blessing for an actor to be able to work on a project. I am thankful to the director and writer for giving me this opportunity.”
He continued, “While working on 'Iron Family', I gained many good colleagues. I was able to go to the set with a joyful heart. There are many people I am grateful to. As I stand here, I can't remember all their names. I will reach out to each one of them.”
Choi Tae-joon also mentioned his wife, Park Shin-hye, saying, “There is one person I must not forget. Park Shin-hye, who always makes me want to be a better person despite my shortcomings, I sincerely thank you. I am also grateful to my parents for always praying for me. I will strive to become a better actor.”
The '2024 KBS Acting Awards', hosted by broadcaster Jang Seong-kyu and actors Seo Hyun and Moon Sang-min, was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31 of last year but was canceled due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster. The awards ceremony was later recorded.
Nominees for the Grand Prize included Lee Soon-jae from the drama 'Barking Dog', Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang from 'Beauty and the Beast', Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from 'Iron Family', and Kim Ha-neul from 'Let’s Grab the Collar'.
