Seo Suk-hyang became the recipient of the Writer Award at the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’.
The writer of ‘Ironing Family’ stated during the broadcast of the ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’ on the 11th, “I received this award while the drama was airing. It was cold, but I sent people to Mount Eulak to dig up 10 billion won in a warm room, and I freely used scenes where many people gathered. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize.”
She continued, “I worked with seniors Park In-hwan and Kim Young-ok for the first time, and I truly felt why they are great seniors and still actively working. I am grateful for the wonderful acting humor of the elders.”
After acknowledging Shin Hyun-joon, Kim Hye-eun, and Park Ji-young, she expressed, “I have rarely seen actors like Kim Jung-hyun, Geum Sae-rok, Yang Hye-ji, and Choi Tae-joon, who support each other and practice together. I was inspired by the four of them.”
She added, “My mother is quite old, and it was meaningful to finally be able to write a drama that she can enjoy. A drama writer cannot do it alone. My younger brother has been a great support,” expressing her gratitude.
The ‘2024 KBS Acting Awards’, hosted by broadcaster Jang Seong-kyu and actors Seo Hyun and Moon Sang-min, was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31 of last year but was canceled due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster. The awards ceremony was recorded instead.
Nominees for the Grand Prize included Lee Soon-jae from the drama ‘Dog Barking’, Ji Hyun-woo and Lim Soo-hyang from ‘Beauty and the Beast’, Kim Jung-hyun and Park Ji-young from ‘Ironing Family’, and Kim Ha-neul from ‘Let’s Grab the Collar Once’.
