The chaotic opening of the cafeteria by Lee Kwang-soo and Do Kyung-soo has revealed a layer of its veil.

The tvN program ‘Where beans are planted, beans grow; when you eat rice, you gain strength from it’ (directed by Na Young-seok, Ha Mu-seong, Lee Young-kyung), which will premiere on the 9th, captures the cafeteria operation challenge of close friends Lee Kwang-soo and Do Kyung-soo. The struggles of the two as they take on the challenge of running a restaurant have piqued curiosity.

The released highlight video shows Lee Kwang-soo and Do Kyung-soo preparing for the cafeteria opening while signing a real contract with the headquarters representative that includes special clauses. Notably, the contract stipulates that they must provide 200 servings of food to the production staff and use up all 140 kg of Pyeongchang potatoes sourced directly from Gangwon-do, which draws attention. After signing the contract, Lee Kwang-soo humorously remarks, “It’s so serious that it’s annoying,” causing laughter.

Next, the busy kitchen scene of the two, now officially titled CEO Lee Kwang-soo and Head Do Kyung-soo, captures the eye as they dive into meal preparation. CEO Lee Kwang-soo tries to exude the aura of a dignified boss but reveals some gaps, such as almost adding salt to the tanghulu, showing that despite his enthusiasm, he is not as composed as he aims to be. In contrast, Do Kyung-soo, being a former cook, skillfully handles the cooking, showcasing his ‘work expert’ qualities and exuding true charisma.

The two, who have completely different personalities and work styles, often bicker, but they also show moments of relying on each other while running the cafeteria together. Do Kyung-soo expresses his unique affection for Lee Kwang-soo, saying, “The way you try to help is so lovely,” raising curiosity about how they will complement each other in running the restaurant.

Additionally, the special guests Kim Woo-bin, SEVENTEEN, and Lee Young-ji making surprise visits to Lee Kwang-soo and Do Kyung-soo’s cafeteria are noteworthy. Among them, Kim Woo-bin acts as an external auditor, keeping time for the two, while Lee Young-ji is busy working as a part-timer, skewering fish cakes, raising expectations for the special guests' activities in ‘Where beans are planted, beans grow; when you eat rice, you gain strength from it.’

tvN’s ‘Where beans are planted, beans grow; when you eat rice, you gain strength from it’ will premiere on Thursday, the 9th, at 8:40 PM, and the full version will be released on YouTube’s ‘Channel 15’ on Friday, the 10th, at 6 PM.
