Yoo Jae-suk, Ryu Soo-young, Jeon Hyun-moo, Kim Jong-min, and Lee Chan-won have become the recipients of the Entertainer of the Year Award at the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards.'
The '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards' took place on the afternoon of the 21st at the KBS New Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Actors Lee Joon, singer Lee Young-ji, and Lee Chan-won hosted the event.
Upon taking the stage, Yoo Jae-suk said, "New challenges are not easy. I can take on challenges because there are colleagues who support me. The members and the production team have been with me, and I want to thank the KBS entertainment officials who have allowed us to take on new challenges with 'Syncro-Yu' and 'Gag Concert.' Without you, we wouldn't have been able to take on such challenges."
Ryu Soo-young expressed his affection for his wife, Park Ha-sun, saying, "I told Park Ha-sun to do well. She must be watching now. I love you."
Jeon Hyun-moo, known for his intuition, commented, "Everyone is a strong candidate, but Kim Jong-min has received a special producer award, so one has been eliminated. Yoo Jae-suk is the eternal candidate for the grand prize. Ryu Soo-young also has a high chance. He has created a genre of food acting. I also follow his recipes. There is potential. Just look at Lee Chan-won's fiery gaze. The look in his eyes today in the waiting room was unfamiliar. It was strange to see him memorizing his acceptance speech."
Kim Jong-min, who has been on '1 Night 2 Days' for 17 years, said, "It was tough in the past, but it's even tougher these days. My stamina has decreased. Now that I'm in my 40s, I need the youngest members and DinDin to help. You guys should do it," he joked.
When asked about his promise if he wins the grand prize, Lee Chan-won replied, "I'm not expecting it. So I can do anything. I'm currently hosting 'Immortal Songs,' and since it's a music variety show, the situation can change rapidly during recording. The production team hasn't been able to eat. If I win the grand prize, I will call in a catering service in connection with 'Pyeon Restaurant.'
In response, Kim Jong-min said, "If I win the grand prize, I will treat everyone to a buffet on '1 Night 2 Days,'" while Jeon Hyun-moo promised, "I will provide Korean beef." Ryu Soo-young said, "I will invite the residents and cook for them." Yoo Jae-suk added, "We have scattered. The writers and PDs must be somewhere. We will gather together and treat everyone."
This year's grand prize nominees are Yoo Jae-suk from 'Syncro-Yu,' Jeon Hyun-moo from 'Boss's Ears are Donkey Ears,' Ryu Soo-young from 'New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant,' Lee Chan-won from 'Immortal Songs' and 'New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant,' and Kim Jong-min from '1 Night 2 Days' Season 4.
