Singer Won Mi-yeon revealed her connection with Seo Taiji.
On the 12th, KBS2’s ‘Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together’ featured the sisters going on an outing to Gyeongui Line Forest Road after Seokpajeong.
On that day, Namgoong Ok-bun said, “I thought Won Mi-yeon wouldn’t get married. She didn’t seem to be in a romantic mood with any man.” Won Mi-yeon explained, “I didn’t have a management company. I made money to produce my albums. Only the first and second albums were made by a company, and after that, I produced my own albums. If I failed, I would earn money to prepare for the next album. I also had to work as a radio DJ and perform on nightclub stages.”
Won Mi-yeon continued, “At that time, I was the MC for ‘March of Youth.’ Seo Taiji and Boys performed on the ‘March of Youth’ stage. At first, I thought, ‘What kind of music is that?’ but the tempo was so good that I told my manager, ‘I want to receive a fast song like that too.’ The manager talked to Seo Taiji, and I received the song. That was ‘By Your Side.’”
She added, “From that time on, dance singers started to emerge in droves. I told Park Jin-young, who was active with ‘Don’t Leave Me,’ that I wanted to do a dance song and received a track. He told me to try dancing. After seeing my dance, Park Jin-young said, ‘The feeling is great, but it would be better to do a ballad.’ So, I awkwardly danced to the song Seo Taiji gave me,” which brought laughter.
Meanwhile, ‘Park Won-sook’s Let’s Live Together’ airs every Thursday at 8:30 PM.
