Go Hyun-jung's maternal instinct to protect her son Lee Jin-woo is expected to touch the hearts of viewers.
The Genie TV original drama ‘Namib’ (written by Um Sung-min, directed by Han Sang-jae and Kang Min-goo), which will premiere on December 23 at 10 PM, tells the story of a fired star producer Kang Soo-hyun (played by Go Hyun-jung) and a released long-term trainee Yoo Jin-woo (played by Ryu Un) as they pursue their respective goals.
In the drama, Kang Soo-hyun is struggling to achieve her goal of taking responsibility for her son Shim Jin-woo's (played by Lee Jin-woo) future, which has been hurt due to her mistakes. On the other hand, while Jin-woo feels burdened by his mother’s actions, he is suppressing his reactions alone, fearing that they might hurt her, creating a relationship that feels both close yet infinitely distant.

However, despite Kang Soo-hyun's intentions, her son Jin-woo remains indifferent. It raises curiosity about how Jin-woo will respond to his mother’s firm determination to take responsibility for his future. Although their methods differ, the story of this mother and son, who care for each other, is drawing attention.
