Actresses Oh Ye-joo and Yang Yi-jin present a heartfelt family love story through "Because My Soles Are Hot."
The KBS2 Tuesday drama "Because My Soles Are Hot: Drama Special 2024" (directed by Lee Jin-ah, written by Han Bom), airing on the 10th, is a healing growth drama about high school student Ha-neul, who starts a plan to help her reclusive sister escape from her room.
Oh Ye-joo (as Yoo Ha-neul), Kim Kang-min (as Kim Yang), Park Ho-san (as Yoo Cheol-yong), and Yang Yi-jin (as Yoo No-eul) will portray the family's pain of watching a loved one become isolated in despair, and the process of moving closer to each other with intense emotional performances.
The released stills capture Ha-neul knocking on the door of No-eul, who is becoming increasingly isolated in despair, separated by just one wall. Taking care of No-eul in place of their father Cheol-yong, Ha-neul records her sister's every move to check on her well-being.
As three years pass with little improvement in her sister's condition, Ha-neul, growing weary, decides to visit her best friend living in Jeju Island, officially launching her sister's escape project from the world.
Kim Yang, who has a crush on Ha-neul, becomes a great support for her as she looks for part-time work to save up for the trip. Grateful to Kim Yang, Ha-neul starts working as a mascot in place of him, who has injured his leg, while strange noises begin to emerge from No-eul's room, which has been disrupted by her sister's knocking.
Ha-neul's sincere efforts to get closer to her sister, moving her hot soles, successfully touch No-eul's tightly closed heart, raising anticipation for whether they can embark on the long-desired trip to Jeju Island.
"Because My Soles Are Hot," which will conclude the "KBS Drama Special 2024," will air today (10th) at 10:50 PM.
