The group BTS has added another song to its list of tracks with 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The title track 'Fake Love' from their third studio album 'Love Yourself: Tear', released in May 2018, has surpassed 1 billion streams on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify (as of August 24). This song is BTS's fifth track to reach 1 billion streams.

'Fake Love' is an emo hip-hop genre that features grunge rock guitar sounds and groovy trap beats. It expresses the feelings of realizing that a love thought to be destined was actually false. The song captures BTS's dark emotions and has received global love.

Upon its release, 'Fake Love' debuted at number 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 42 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100. The album 'Love Yourself: Tear', which includes this track, became the first album by a Korean artist to reach number one on the Billboard 200, solidifying K-pop's status worldwide.

As of the August 24 Spotify chart, Jungkook has also achieved another 1 billion streaming song. His solo single '3D', released in September 2023, has surpassed 1 billion streams. With this, Jungkook now has a total of four songs with 1 billion streams, following 'Seven', 'Standing Next to You', and 'Left and Right' in collaboration with Charlie Puth. This is the highest record among K-pop solo artists.

'3D' entered the charts at number 5 on both the Hot 100 and the Official Singles Top 100 upon its release. The song features an old-school sound based on mid-2000s hip-hop and dance, infused with Jungkook's unique style in the R&B pop genre. It conveys a message of wanting to meet the three-dimensional 'you' directly and always be together as 'us'.

Meanwhile, BTS has achieved 2 billion streams on Spotify with 'Dynamite'. 'My Universe', 'Butter', 'Boy With Luv', and 'Fake Love' have each recorded over 1 billion streams. The total number of group songs with over 100 million streams has reached 127.
