In ‘I Am Solo’ Season 27, Youngsoo and Jeongsuk ended up as the ‘final couple’ after a long journey.

In the episode airing on the 27th, ENA and SBS Plus ‘I Am SOLO’ featured Youngsoo and Jeongsuk, Sangcheol and Oksoon as the ‘final couples’.

On the fifth day at ‘Solo Nara No. 27’, Youngsoo had a ‘2:1 date’ with Jeongsuk and Youngja before entering a ‘1:1 conversation’ with Jeongsuk. He expressed to Jeongsuk, “I spent more time with Youngja and we communicated well, but strangely, I wasn’t nervous,” hinting at his intention to end his relationship with Youngja. Jeongsuk replied, “I feel the same way,” mentioning her comfort with Gwangsoo and Youngcheol.

Youngsoo asked, “How many people are you currently interested in?” and Jeongsuk revealed, “As of today, there is only one person I care about,” indicating her feelings for Youngsoo. Following this, Youngsoo entered a ‘1:1 conversation’ with Youngja and directly stated, “If I had to choose between the two, it would be you, Jeongsuk.” Youngja responded, “I knew it,” and advised, “Make sure to help Jeongsuk so she doesn’t get confused.”

Youngcheol, who ate ‘lonely gourmet’ alone at the accommodation, expressed to the production team, “Everything here except for my choice is ‘0 votes’. I didn’t spend a dime on date meals,” falling into self-doubt. Shortly after, Gwangsoo and Sunja came to comfort Youngcheol after their date, and Youngcheol confessed, “Honestly, I’m upset with Jeongsuk.”

Meanwhile, Jeongsuk came to the common living room to talk to Youngcheol, but she misunderstood that he was saying bad things about her, unable to hide her stern expression. Jeongsuk said, “I feel really bad,” and called Youngsik to seek advice about Youngcheol.

Jeongsuk lamented to Youngsik, “I couldn’t tell Youngcheol ‘no’ clearly. But is that really such a bad thing?” and ended up shedding tears. At that moment, Youngho approached Jeongsuk to comfort her and suddenly confessed, “The ideal type I wanted turned out to be exactly Jeongsuk.” Jeongsuk was taken aback, but after finishing her conversation with Youngho, she returned to the common living room and turned on the ‘flirty mode’ with Youngsoo.

Watching this, Youngcheol complained to Hyunsook, “Jeongsuk doesn’t even look at me or make eye contact. It feels like a power struggle.” Hyunsook advised, “You could just start a conversation first. What’s so prideful about saying, ‘I’m upset with you’?” Realizing this, Youngcheol immediately requested a conversation with Jeongsuk.

In the cold air, Youngcheol honestly confessed, “I am upset.” Jeongsuk replied, “I like being with Youngcheol, but it felt like we were a couple who had been together for about three years. It was my fault for not clearly saying that this was a ‘comfortable feeling’.” She continued, “I felt comfortable with Youngcheol, but I had a rational attraction to Youngsoo,” clearly explaining her feelings. Youngcheol, seemingly in disbelief, repeatedly asked Jeongsuk to continue sharing her feelings. Around the same time, Gwangsoo also showed signs of giving up on Jeongsuk, saying, “I said I would endure long-distance, but if I don’t feel excited, then there’s no answer.”

On the day of the final selection, Youngcheol woke up early and bought a bouquet of ‘Zana Rose’, which symbolizes ‘eternal love’. Jeongsuk called Youngcheol again and apologized, saying, “I’m sorry if I made it hard for you unintentionally,” regarding her late realization of her feelings. Youngcheol handed her the bouquet he had prepared, saying, “This is the flower I originally wanted to give you.”

He then presented a bouquet of yellow roses, which symbolize ‘separation from a friend’, along with a letter saying, “I will miss you.” Upon confirming Youngcheol’s sincerity, Jeongsuk burst into tears. Seeing this, Youngsoo said to Jeongsuk, “I was going to give you flowers first. Mine is this small, what should I do?” and presented her with a small bouquet along with a cat grip talk and couple rabbit keyring.

Sangcheol appealed to Oksoon with a card saying, “I want to create our own pace and atmosphere, carefully but quickly,” along with a cute heart balloon he made himself. Following this, Youngsik woke up early to prepare drinks according to Hyunsook’s taste and remembered her saying that flower arrangement was her hobby, so he presented her with a bouquet he made himself. Touched by Youngsik’s sincerity, Hyunsook finally burst into tears.

In the final selection, Youngsik went straight to Hyunsook, saying, “I will take you as my one and only into my world.” However, Hyunsook felt that “five nights and six days were too short to get to know one person” and decided to forgo the final selection, with Youngsook, Youngja, Sunja, and Youngho also not making final selections.

Sangcheol headed towards Oksoon, saying, “I’m looking for a good partner,” and Oksoon responded, “Oppa! Let’s be close~,” becoming the first ‘final couple’. Youngcheol and Gwangsoo, who had pursued Jeongsuk until the end, both decided to forgo the final selection, while Youngsoo and Jeongsuk chose each other, becoming the second final couple.

Wrapping up the tumultuous romance of Season 27, ‘I Am SOLO’ is set to return with a ‘legend-breaking’ special for Season 28 featuring ‘divorced singles’.
