Singer Gong Hoon revealed the reason for his challenge on ‘Current King of Masked Singers 2’.
In the episode aired on the 3rd, MBN’s ‘Current King of Masked Singers 2’ featured a self-evaluation competition among 34 active male singers competing for the TOP 7 to participate in the ‘Korea-Japan King of Singers Competition’ to be held in 2025.
On stage that day, Gong Hoon introduced himself by saying, “The only thing I’m good at is singing. I will compete with my singing. I am Gong Hoon in my 5th year as an active singer.”
Upon Gong Hoon's appearance, Master Park Hyun-bin surprised everyone by saying, “I almost signed a contract after hearing Gong Hoon’s song for the first time.” Lee Ji-hye also praised him, saying, “There’s nothing to criticize. He has a male Jo Hyun-mi vibe.”
Gong Hoon, who finished ‘Burning Trotman’ in 6th place, explained his reason for challenging ‘Current King of Masked Singers 2’, saying, “In fact, I feel regret if I’m not first in everything. I came out with the determination to graduate as the top in ‘Current King of Masked Singers 2’,” which earned him applause.
