Sports trainer and broadcaster Yang Chi-seung confessed his feelings about being a victim of rental fraud.
On the 25th, Yang Chi-seung mentioned the real estate lawsuit he is involved in with the landlord of his gym during the Channel A current affairs program ‘Close Friends Documentary - Four-Person Dining Table’.
That day, Yang Chi-seung stated that he recently experienced a rental fraud at his gym, saying, “I hear a lot about rental fraud, but I never thought it would happen to me. I thought I would get my deposit back, and since it was someone I knew through someone I knew, and my son was also working as my employee while I was teaching him, I never imagined it.”
He continued, “They said they would return the deposit, and two years have passed. It amounts to about 500 million won. They have caused other damages as well. The number of members at the gym is decreasing, and the situation is not good. I am in a difficult situation, but even if I have to close the business, I cannot let my members suffer. I have set aside the amount I need to refund to my members from my assets.”
Yang Chi-seung added, “The conclusion has not been reached yet,” and said, “We are in a legal dispute. We don’t know how the outcome will turn out. I need to share the situation with the members and take appropriate actions accordingly.”
