The band Soran discussed their future activities following the change to Ko Young-bae's 'solo system'.
On the afternoon of the 16th, a showcase for Soran's new EP album 'Dream' was held at the MPMG headquarters located in Changjeon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Main vocalist Ko Young-bae, bassist Seo Myeon-ho, and guitarist Lee Tae-wook attended the event.
Soran will conclude their current three-member system with a concert in January next year and transition to a one-man band led by Ko Young-bae. According to the agency, this change is a decision to focus on each member's musical activities rather than a disbandment, and the members sought a new direction after long discussions. Seo Myeon-ho and Lee Tae-wook will pursue their individual music activities moving forward.
Ko Young-bae stated, "Just because I am doing it alone, I have no plans to drastically change the Soran style or recruit new members. I want to maintain and develop the path we have walked together with the members," adding, "I am grateful that the departing members have allowed us to start anew beautifully. I hope we can work together or perform again in the future, so let's all strive to do better."
First, Seo Myeon-ho and Lee Tae-wook are determined to focus on the concert scheduled for January next year. After that, they plan to take time for personal development and aim to emerge as even more impressive artists.
All three members urged fans, "Please don't be too sad, and we hope you can take wonderful and good memories through this album."
The new release 'Dream' will be available on various music streaming sites at 6 PM on the 17th.
'Dream' is a work that captures the emotional line of this change, marking the band's first new release in two years and the final record of the current three-member system. The title 'Dream' was chosen with the hope that "we wish to continue being a band that dreams," conveying a message of transition from the band's dreams to individual dreams.
