In 'Brave Detectives 4', the truth behind a brutal murder case is pursued.
In the upcoming 53rd episode of Tcast E Channel's 'Brave Detectives 4' (directed by Lee Ji-sun), Detective Kim Hee-jong, former Commissioner Yoon Wae-chul of the Scientific Investigation Team (KCSI), and Inspector Kim Jin-soo will appear to reveal the investigation details.
The episode begins with a woman returning home after finishing her business, witnessing a fire at a nearby soju bar, and reporting it to 119. The scene is a one-story prefabricated building vulnerable to fire, and the flames were extinguished within 20 minutes. However, firefighters discovered the body of the soju bar owner wrapped in a blanket inside the store.
The body showed multiple stab wounds and signs of blunt force trauma, with a kitchen knife placed on the back, adding to the shock. The investigation team began inquiries considering the possibility of an acquaintance being the perpetrator, but the townspeople remained tight-lipped.
Then, on the night of the fire, a tip came in stating, "I saw a man with a scary gaze sitting in the corner of the store," bringing a new turn to the case. There were also reports that the man was not a local resident, raising questions about who the perpetrator was and why he brutally murdered the owner.
Next, KCSI investigates a robbery-murder case disguised as an online gold transaction. A report was received that a man was walking with blood on his head, claiming he had been robbed. The victim was attacked while trying to sell gold on an online site, and the gold stolen amounted to a staggering 100 don.
The investigation team traced the direction the victim had come from to secure the crime scene and CCTV footage. The footage clearly showed the victim getting out of the driver's seat with his hand on his head, followed by the perpetrator who struck him on the head and stole his bag and vehicle.
To evade capture, he used a burner phone and prepared the tools for the crime, executing the plan methodically. The identified suspect was already wanted for a fraud case. During this process, the victim ultimately succumbed in the intensive care unit, turning the case into a robbery-murder.
