Singer Lee Sun-hee has transformed into a DJ after 41 years since her debut.
On the 22nd, the Ultra Music Festival Korea announced through their official SNS, “Singer-songwriter master Lee Sun-hee, first stage as a DJ at Ultra,” along with a photo.
In the released photo, Lee Sun-hee is seen wearing a headset and attempting to operate the DJ table. She shows a serious expression while engaging in DJing, demonstrating her professionalism.
The Ultra Music Festival Korea expressed support for Lee Sun-hee's new challenge, stating, “No matter what age you are in life, if you take on a new challenge, that moment is your prime.”
Lee Sun-hee performed DJing on the stage of ‘Ultra Korea 2025’ held at the Mapo Cultural Storage in Seoul on the 20th. She took the stage under the name ‘DJ HEE’ and is reported to have captivated the audience with her charismatic performance.
Recently, Lee Sun-hee has been consistently practicing DJing.
Lee Sun-hee gained recognition in the music industry by winning the grand prize at the MBC ‘Kangbyeon Song Festival’ in 1984. Since then, she has showcased her exceptional vocal ability through numerous hit songs such as ‘To J’, ‘Fate’, and ‘Meeting You Among Them’.
However, from 2011 to June 2022, she was investigated by the police for allegedly using the corporate card of One Entertainment for personal expenses, causing financial damage to the company. At that time, she stated, “There are parts that are difficult to prove as business use,” and added, “I apologize for disappointing you. I will live without shame as a singer from now on.”
