Yoo Seung-jun, who is banned from entering Korea due to allegations of evading military service, caught attention by revealing a group family photo.
On the 25th, Yoo Seung-jun posted a photo on his SNS with the caption ‘Perfect peace in the storm’.
In the released photo, Yoo Seung-jun is posing outdoors with his wife, son, and two daughters, showcasing a loving family atmosphere.
Fans who saw Yoo Seung-jun's photo left supportive messages such as “Happy family”, “I miss all my school days”, “Beautiful family”, and “I hope there are many days like in the photo where you smile”.
Since his debut in 1997, Yoo Seung-jun has been loved for numerous hit songs such as ‘Gawi’, ‘Passion’, and ‘Na Na Na’, but he became embroiled in a military service evasion controversy after obtaining U.S. citizenship before his enlistment in 2002, leading to a ban on his entry into Korea.
After being unable to set foot in Korea for several years, he applied for an overseas Korean visa (F-4) in 2015 to enter the country, but when it was denied, he filed a lawsuit to cancel the denial and ultimately won. However, the LA Consulate General again refused to issue the visa, and Yoo Seung-jun filed a second cancellation lawsuit, winning again in the Supreme Court last November. Nevertheless, he was denied visa issuance again and filed a third administrative lawsuit against the LA Consulate General and the Minister of Justice, who stated, “We cannot allow entry.”
In this regard, on the 28th, the Seoul Administrative Court will hold a ruling date for Yoo Seung-jun's lawsuit against the LA Consulate General regarding the cancellation of the visa issuance denial and the lawsuit against the Minister of Justice regarding the non-existence of the entry ban decision.
