MBN is launching a global survival baking competition titled 'Bake Your Dream' (tentative title).
On the 11th, MBN announced, "Thanks to the recent 'K-Bakery craze' that has captivated the taste buds of people around the world, we will broadcast a global baking competition to select the best bakers in the second half of 2025," and added, "Please stay tuned to see who will be the strongest among the bakers who have become a cultural trend beyond just food."
'Bake Your Dream' (tentative title) is a global survival entertainment show where 100 bakers from around the world, from master bakers gathered from across the country to world-renowned pastry chefs, will compete in a baking competition that the world will pay attention to.
Following the K-Food phenomenon, which has taken the world by storm, the K-Bakery craze will continue to delight the eyes and taste buds by adding new flavors that cannot be experienced elsewhere to the consistently loved tastes.
The show will feature not only the baking challenges of famous chefs from home and abroad but also the participation of professional bakers from countries like France and Thailand, as well as a group of celebrities who enjoy baking as a hobby, promising to create a Korean wave baking content that captures global attention and expands the bakery industry.
Beyond just a competition, 'Bake Your Dream' (tentative title) will provide a special opportunity for small business bakers and emerging pastry chefs, who each have their own dreams, to challenge themselves on the world stage. It aims to turn the dreams of small business owners into reality, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and growth, and is expected to elevate the status of the K-Bakery industry both domestically and internationally in collaboration with K-Bakery Global Co., Ltd.
The judging of the 100 participants will be conducted by living legends of the baking world, Michelin-starred chefs, leading figures in the Thai dessert scene, star pastry chefs who have won the Blue Ribbon Survey seven times, and representatives of the oldest local bakeries in the country. They will evaluate each individual's capabilities from various perspectives to discover the ultimate baker who can captivate the taste buds of people around the world.
The final winner will receive the opportunity to launch new products with a bakery company, as well as the privilege of becoming the owner of their own signature bakery. The support will not stop at just winning; there will be practical and ongoing assistance to help with actual entrepreneurship, business expansion, and overseas advancement, including spin-offs and appearances in follow-up programs.
Scheduled to air in the second half of this year, participant recruitment will begin at the end of June, and applications can be submitted through the MBN website.
