The 'MZ wannabe icon' IVE has shattered its own record on the Japan Oricon chart.

According to an article from Japan's Oricon on the 5th, IVE's third album in Japan, 'Be Alright,' recorded approximately 165,000 sales in its first week, reaching number one on the 'Oricon Weekly Album Ranking' (as of August 11, counting period: July 28 - August 3).

This figure surpasses the first-week sales of their previous second album in Japan, 'ALIVE,' marking a new personal best for IVE in first-week album sales with their new release. Additionally, it confirmed IVE's outstanding popularity in Japan by recording the highest first-week album sales among foreign female artists this year according to Oricon.

The new album 'Be Alright' consists of a total of five tracks, including the title track 'Be Alright,' the OST 'DARE ME' for the Japanese NTV drama 'Dame Mane! - Unmarketable Talent, Management!' and Japanese versions of songs from their second album 'IVE SWITCH' such as 'Accendio,' 'Blue Heart,' and 'WOW.'

The title track 'Be Alright' conveys a message of courage to move forward without fear of change, and since its pre-release on the 16th of last month, it has received a warm response from global music fans, entering Billboard Japan's 'Hot 100,' 'Hot Shot Songs,' and 'Download Songs' charts.

As they demonstrate their global presence by standing out on various charts, IVE is set to make their first appearance at Japan's representative music festival 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025' on September 15. After showcasing an impressive performance at 'SUMMER SONIC 2024' last year, expectations are high for what they will bring to this festival.

Meanwhile, IVE is scheduled to release their fourth mini-album 'IVE SECRET' and the title track 'XOXZ' in Korea on the 25th, continuing their domestic activities.
