The globally popular ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is also receiving great love in the album category.

On the 6th (local time), Billboard announced through a chart preview article that the OST album of ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ has risen five spots from the previous week to reach 3rd place on the Billboard main album chart, 'Billboard 200'.

This is the highest ranking for a soundtrack on the chart this year. At the same time, it is evaluated as the highest record for an animated OST since 'Encanto', which topped the chart for nine weeks in 2022.

‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is a Netflix original animation that combines K-pop and occult action, drawing attention. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, known for creating 'Spider-Man: Across the Universe', it features a significant participation of Korean-Canadian directors Maggie Kang and Chris Applehans co-directing.

Along with the global success of the work, the soundtrack featured in the series is also receiving great love.

The song 'Your Idol' performed by the Lion Boys in the series topped the 'US Daily Top 50' on the global music platform Spotify on the 4th, generating buzz.

On the 7th, the global TOP 50 chart included 7 out of 12 soundtrack songs, such as Huntrex's 'Golden' (3rd), Lion Boys' 'Your Idol' (5th), 'Soda Pop' (9th), 'How It's Done' (12th), 'What It Sounds Like' (22nd), 'Free' (23rd), and 'Takedown' (33rd).
