Members Steven and Cha Woong-ki of group Nine shared their thoughts on their re-debut as an idol group.
On the afternoon of the 1st, a showcase was held to celebrate the release of Nine's debut album and first mini-album ‘WHO WE ARE’ at Yes24 Live Hall located in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. The venue was filled with reporters eager to see Nine.
Steven had previously debuted in 2021 with the group Luminoor before Nine. He stated, “I believe I can show a better image thanks to my past experiences. I am happy to be able to debut with the members of Nine.”
Cha Woong-ki, who also debuted with the group T.O.O, expressed, “There were many difficult and challenging moments during my past activities, but the reason I wanted to debut again and show the stage is because of the love from the fans,” adding, “Since this is my last chance, I will work hard.”
JL, who has experience as an idol in the Philippines, also said, “I expect that my experiences in the Philippines will positively influence Nine's activities.”
Nine is a team formed through the SBS show ‘Universe League,’ which concluded last January.
The team name ‘Nine’ is an abbreviation for ‘All time Hall Of Famer’ and symbolizes the unfinished number ‘9.’ It embodies the members' ambitious aspirations to rise to the ‘K-pop Hall of Fame’ while representing a team with infinite potential and growth.
‘WHO WE ARE’ captures the journey of the team Nine in search of their color and identity before reaching perfection. The album is filled with the genuine stories of nine boys that began with sincerity rather than brightness. Notably, El Capitan produced all the tracks, and the members' authenticity is expected to lead to the creation of high-quality music.
Nine will release ‘WHO WE ARE’ on various music streaming sites at 6 PM on the same day. Following that, they will hold a debut fan showcase at 8 PM, which will be broadcast live worldwide.
