BTS members RM and V are set to discharge from military service together.
RM and V, who enlisted together in December 2023, will be discharged on the morning of the 10th from a location in Gangwon Province where they served. There will be no official events from their agency regarding their discharge.
RM has been serving in the Army Band of the 15th Infantry Division in Hwacheon, while V has been serving in the Special Duty Team (SDT) of the Military Police Corps of the 2nd Army Corps in Chuncheon.
As his discharge approaches, RM recently shared a screenshot of a military service schedule app on social media with the caption, “Only 7 days left until discharge!” V also posted a screen showing “Sergeant, Elio D-9,” taking a step closer to his fans.
Their agency, Big Hit Music, requested fans to refrain from visiting the site through a fan community platform on the 7th. The agency stated, “Discharge day is a day when many soldiers are discharged together,” and added, “There will be no separate official events on the day of discharge, and the locations are very small, raising concerns about safety accidents due to congestion.”
It is reported that RM and V have diligently fulfilled their military duties, starting from being selected as 'elite trainees' during their training period to being promoted to sergeant ahead of schedule.
Following RM and V, member Jimin and Jungkook are set to be discharged the next day on the 11th. Suga (Min Yoongi), who is serving as a social service agent, will be released from service on the 21st.
As BTS members are discharged one after another, the '2025 BTS Festa' celebrating their debut date will be held at Goyang KINTEX on June 13. It is not yet known whether the members will participate in the event. Member J-Hope will hold a solo encore concert at Goyang Sports Complex on the same day.
