YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, a former entertainment reporter, reported that Kim Sae-ron regrets the impulsive self-dating rumor with Kim Soo-hyun, according to a close acquaintance.
On the 26th, Lee Jin-ho posted a video titled "Kim Sae-ron's rampage... Why did she post a photo of Kim Soo-hyun?" In the video, he stated, "The circumstances under which Kim Sae-ron posted the photo were a mix of impulsiveness and instability," and added, "As the controversy grew, she expressed to her acquaintances that she regretted her mistake and impulsiveness."
He continued, "She conveyed that her actions were very reckless and wrong."
He mentioned, "The earlier reports about her directly stating her position seem to have been somewhat distorted. While receiving calls from reporters in a state of confusion, comments about her organizing her stance came out," and explained, "Upon further confirmation, it turns out she has cut off contact with everyone except for her family and a very few close friends. Rather than making a separate statement, she intends to reflect on herself."
Additionally, he said, "It seems she herself does not clearly understand the situation. She impulsively posted the photo without considering what kind of repercussions it would have," and added, "She is currently in a state of self-reflection due to her own mistake. Kim Soo-hyun, who was in the same agency, is enjoying a second peak in his career through a new drama. It seems she wanted to share a photo taken with the successful Kim Soo-hyun with her acquaintances."
Furthermore, he added, "According to acquaintances, it appears that she impulsively posted it to show off that she was doing well in the past."
Earlier, Kim Sae-ron sparked controversy by posting a sudden post on her personal channel's story in the early hours of the 23rd. She shared a photo of herself closely facing Kim Soo-hyun, the male lead of the currently popular drama "Queen of Tears," which she deleted just three minutes later.
Kim Soo-hyun, born in 1988, is 12 years older than Kim Sae-ron (born in 2000). Even if a post is deleted in a second, there are many cases where it cannot be managed, but the problematic post by Kim Sae-ron was exposed for a whopping three minutes. As expected, it quickly spread online.
Of course, Kim Soo-hyun's side stated, "The photo circulating online seems to have been taken when we were at the same agency," but expressed their confusion, saying, "We have no idea about the intention behind Kim Sae-ron's actions." However, the arrows of criticism were directed not at the parties involved but at the harsh public, making the situation more serious.
Instead of confirming with Kim Sae-ron or Kim Soo-hyun (who seemed to be close based on the photo) and clarifying the situation, they announced a vague legal response, stating, "As unnecessary misunderstandings and speculations about the actor are rampant, we will respond strongly through our legal representative against any malicious defamation and insulting posts that damage the actor's character and honor." No one forced them to take a photo together.
Kim Sae-ron, who is increasing her unlikable index through the use of social media as a "communication channel," and Kim Soo-hyun, whose response is also somewhat disappointing.
