The group Miyawo (MEOVV·Su-in, Ga-won, Anna, Na-rin, Ella) has successfully wrapped up its first EP activities.
On the 1st, Miyawo took the stage for the last music broadcast performance of their first EP title track 'Drop Top' from 'My Eyes Open Wide' on SBS's 'Inkigayo'.
The members enhanced the performance's completeness with more relaxed facial expressions and gestures, and their passionate singing matched the hopeful lyrics, eliciting cheers. Particularly, during the 'ending fairy' segment that concluded the stage, the five members greeted fans and embraced each other, showcasing their friendly chemistry and bringing smiles.
Miyawo began their first EP activities with the pre-released double title track 'Hands Up' on April 28, riding a wave of popularity with their unique performances and fresh music. They demonstrated remarkable momentum by ranking high on YouTube's trending videos, charting on the country's largest music site Melon, and sparking a challenge craze.
Notably, on May 12, Miyawo released 'Drop Top', a double title track with a different lyrical atmosphere from 'Hands Up', showcasing their diverse charms. 'Drop Top' topped the QQ Music K-Pop chart, the largest music site in China, highlighting Miyawo's popularity as they leap into the global girl group scene. The first EP 'My Eyes Open Wide', released on the same day, recorded 10th place on Billboard's 'Top Album Sales', 4th on 'World Albums', and 4th on 'Emerging Artists', garnering a hot response in North America.
Additionally, during this activity, they engaged with fans through various entertainment appearances, opened a pop-up store, launched a new season of their own content, and held their first face-to-face fan signing event, bringing them closer to their fans. They also raised the excitement on college campuses during the festival season with powerful performances, receiving praise from numerous listeners.
Thus, Miyawo successfully completed their first activities following the release of their debut EP, marking a strong start in 2025. Miyawo is expected to continue their active endeavors in the future.
