As early voting for the 21st presidential election has begun, celebrity early voting certification photos are emerging.
With early voting taking place over two days on the 29th and 30th, various stars have lined up to post their voting certification photos. First, singer Yoon Jong-shin shared on social media, “Good morning, local voters. Let’s start the day by pressing hard,” revealing that he completed his vote at the Pyeongchang-dong community center in Jongno-gu, Seoul. He encouraged voting by stating, “Today and tomorrow (Thursday, Friday) are the only early voting days.”
Singer Kim Jung-min and BTS's J-Hope also voted in all-black outfits, effectively shutting down the recent controversy over celebrities' political colors. Kim Jung-min wrote, “This is all I can do. Time does not stop and keeps passing,” while J-Hope did not leave any particular comment.
On the other hand, there are stars who have publicly revealed their political colors. Lee Seung-hwan posted on social media wearing a blue hat and shirt, stating, “I woke up earlier than usual. My heart is fluttering with the thought of electing capable workers who will cultivate peace and revive the economy,” along with his voting certification photo. He has consistently expressed his political views and made his intentions clear with his outfit supporting a specific presidential candidate.
Additionally, broadcasters Jo Se-ho, Jae-soon, and actors Hwang Bo-ra and Kim Go-eun also left early voting certification photos to encourage voting.
Meanwhile, some stars have sparked controversy with social media posts that suggest political colors during the early voting period.
Aespa's Karina recently posted a photo on social media wearing a red outfit with the number '2' and a rose emoji, which raised political color controversy. The suspicion arose that she was supporting a specific presidential candidate due to the 'red' color and the number '2'.
Ultimately, Karina and her agency SM Entertainment stated, “It was just a regular post with no other purpose or intention. We apologize for causing concern and will act more carefully.”
Singer Beenzino also came under scrutiny after posting on the 29th with the caption “World Red Day,” showing himself in a red outfit holding a donut with red cream. Following the political color suspicions, Beenzino deleted the post and clarified, “There was no political intent. I will think carefully about each expression and action.”
The early voting for the 21st presidential election will be conducted over two days on the 29th and 30th. Voters can cast their votes at 3,568 early voting stations nationwide from 6 AM to 6 PM on the 29th and 30th. The presidential election is on June 3rd.
