The family of the late Kim Sae-ron has put forth the informant's recorded conversation, while YouTuber Lee Jin-ho and actor Kim Soo-hyun's side have completely refuted it as false incitement through manipulation.
On the afternoon of the 7th, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron held a press conference at a location in Gangnam, Seoul. Present at the scene were attorney Bujiseok (from the law firm Buyu), who represents the family, and Kim Se-yi, the head of the YouTube channel Garoseoro Research Institute.
On that day, the family revealed a recorded conversation with the informant, who claimed to reside in New Jersey, USA, and expressed their position. According to the transcript released by the family, Kim Soo-hyun allegedly had a relationship with the deceased since her second year of middle school and engaged in sexual abuse, including lewd acts and sexual harassment.
In this context, Kim Sae-ron stated, "I dated Kim Soo-hyun oppa from middle school and broke up when I went to university. Kim Soo-hyun oppa and Gold Medalist (Kim Soo-hyun's agency) are really scary and do anything. I feel like I was used. Everyone made me look like a crazy person."
Accordingly, the family has filed a complaint against Kim Soo-hyun for violating the Child Welfare Act and for false accusation.
The family has claimed that along with Kim Soo-hyun, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, known as the "Entertainment President," has continuously harassed Kim Sae-ron through multiple videos. In this regard, the family revealed that Lee Jin-ho and Gold Medalist contacted the informant, offering 1 billion and 4 billion won respectively, demanding the recorded conversation.
According to the family, when the informant rejected the demand, they claimed to have been attacked by unidentified assailants. They also released graphic photos of the injuries sustained.
After the family's press conference concluded, Lee Jin-ho held his own press conference at the same location. Lee Jin-ho raised his voice, stating that all of the family's claims were false, saying, "The informant from New Jersey is a fraud. They are falsely claiming to have been attacked," and emphasized that "the photos of the informant's attack released by the family can be easily found on Google. They are even photos from 4 years ago and 10 years ago," highlighting the false information.
Lee Jin-ho further claimed regarding the recorded conversation, "It was analyzed that the voice was created based on AI, and the New Jersey fraudster added their own voice and noise to it," asserting that it was determined to be a manipulated file by relevant authorities.
The Gold Medalist side also issued an official statement, calling the claims false, stating, "This press conference by Gaseyeon is another manipulation aimed at committing cyber terrorism against Kim Soo-hyun, as they are cornered by false accusations of defamation, stalking, cyber sexual crimes, and evidence manipulation," and added, "Such actions by Gaseyeon are a new type of crime using AI and are serious criminal acts aimed at destroying Kim Soo-hyun's character, which will surely lead to appropriate punishment."
Regarding the incident involving the late Kim Sae-ron, who passed away in February, the family has mentioned the 6-year romantic relationship between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun through Garoseoro Research Institute and is demanding an official apology from Kim Soo-hyun's side. The family insists that Kim Soo-hyun's side acknowledge the fact that the deceased was in a relationship during her minor years.
Kim Soo-hyun's side denies the relationship during her minor years and has filed a defamation lawsuit against the family and an unidentified person who claims to be an "aunt," as well as against Kim Se-yi. Additionally, they have filed a lawsuit for damages amounting to 12 billion won. They have also filed a complaint against Kim Se-yi for violating the Stalking Punishment Act.
