Singer Kim Jong-kook has purchased a luxury villa in Gangnam.
According to the court registry on the 2nd, Kim Jong-kook bought a 243㎡ unit in 'Nonhyeon Abelbaum 2' located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 6.2 billion won last month, and the registration has been completed. It appears that he made the purchase entirely in cash as there is no mortgage established.
The real estate industry believes that Kim Jong-kook bought the villa for actual residence purposes. Since March, the Gangnam 3 districts and Yongsan-gu have been re-designated as land transaction permission zones, making gap investments virtually impossible.
‘Nonhyeon Abelbaum’ is a townhouse-style luxury villa located in the area of 260 Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, with a total of 76 units in two phases. Nearby, there are excellent transportation options with Hakdong and Gangnam-gu Office stations (Line 7), and Eonju and Seonjeongneung stations (Line 9).
It is known that actors Jang Geun-seok and Lee Yo-won have resided in this villa complex. The complex reportedly has a thorough security system with about 180 CCTV cameras installed.
Kim Jong-kook currently lives in 'Acro Hills Nonhyeon' in the same Nonhyeon-dong area. He has revealed his home several times through his appearances on the SBS variety show 'My Ugly Duckling'.
