The trending group Tours will officially debut in Japan on July 2, spending a hot summer.
Tours (Shin Yoo, Do-hoon, Young-jae, Han-jin, Ji-hoon, Kyung-min) announced on their official SNS at midnight on the 1st that their Japanese debut single ‘はじめまして (Hajimemashite)’ will be released on July 2. The single logo released alongside it, which means ‘Nice to meet you,’ raised expectations for a fresh first meeting with local fans.
The debut single will include a total of three tracks, including an original Japanese song. The agency Pledis Entertainment stated, “It is a work that captures the excitement and sparkle that anyone might experience, like a special memory of summer. You will get a glimpse of Tours' refreshing and vibrant charm.”
Tours' popularity in Japan is already remarkable. Their first single ‘Last Bell’ surpassed 100,000 copies in cumulative shipments in December 2024, the month of its release, earning a ‘Gold’ certification from the Japan Record Association. The mini album ‘TRY WITH US,’ released on the 21st of last month, ranked 2nd on the latest Oricon weekly album chart (as of May 5, counting period April 21-27).
The local ticket power is also significant. Tours' first fan meeting ‘2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN,’ held on March 15-16 at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza Main Arena in Tokyo, sold out all three performances. A total of over 30,000 fans gathered at the venue, proving the interest in them. A pop-up store commemorating the fan meeting sold out all time slots within 20 minutes of opening the reservation page, creating a bustling scene.
Meanwhile, TWS, who is active with their mini album ‘TRY WITH US,’ continues to gain popularity with their unique refreshing sound. The title track ‘Isn't it Cool to Jump According to Your Heart?’ achieved first place on SBS M, SBS funE ‘The Show’ and MBC M, MBC every1 ‘Show! Champion,’ becoming a double winner in music broadcasts.
