Actor Oh Jung-se, who plays the villain, talked about Park Bo-gum, with whom he had a conflict in the drama.
On the 29th, the press conference for JTBC's weekend drama ‘Good Boy’ was held at The Link Seoul Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Guro-gu, Seoul. Attendees included Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Oh Jung-se, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, Tae Won-seok, and director Shim Na-yeon.
‘Good Boy’ depicts a comic action youth investigation drama about medalists who become police officers and fight against a world filled with dishonesty and corruption, wearing police badges instead of medals.
In the drama, the villain Min Joo-young is played by Oh Jung-se. Min Joo-young, a 7th-grade customs officer, is recognized for his diligent work performance but is actually the godfather of the underground economy.
Oh Jung-se said, “It’s exciting and fun, and the characters have a touching pathos. It’s a drama about characters you want to support.” He added, “Min Joo-young needs to be a stimulus for them. That was my biggest concern. I discussed a lot with the director about how far to express it dramatically and how to stimulate them more.”
Oh Jung-se also expressed, “I want to try boxing once. I haven’t done it yet, but seeing Park Bo-gum on set, he looked cool. He had a delicate vibe as an actor, but after filming, I remember him as a scary and strong actor.”
‘Good Boy’ will premiere on the 31st at 10:40 PM on JTBC.
