The band Mrs. Green Apple will meet with Korean fans for the first time in 10 years with their concert in Korea.
Mrs. Green Apple (MGA; Omori Motoki, Wakai Hiroto, Fujisawa Ryoka) held a press conference on the 16th at 2 PM at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun to commemorate their concert 'MGA LIVE in SEOUL, KOREA 2025'.
On this day, when asked how he felt about experiencing the cold winter in Korea, Wakai Hiroto replied, “It’s very cold. But I’ve eaten a lot of delicious Korean food and met with fans, so I feel warm both physically and mentally.”
He mentioned that he enjoyed delicious food in Korea. Wakai Hiroto said, “I had cold noodles twice. I think I prefer the water cold noodles,” while Fujisawa Ryoka expressed, “I was so happy to eat the chicken I had been longing for. I wanted to eat it for a long time, and I liked the mix of spicy and sweet flavors; it made me feel warm.”
Mrs. Green Apple, which made its major debut in 2015, is a three-member band boasting top popularity in Japan with numerous hit songs such as 'Ao To Natsu (Blue and Summer)', 'Inferno', and 'Lilac'. They were the first band to win the 'Record Award' at the prestigious Japanese music awards, the 'Japan Record Awards', for two consecutive years.
When asked about the secret to Mrs. Green Apple's popularity, Omori Motoki said, “I’m not sure. I would rather like to hear from those who watch us,” adding, “However, we pay a lot of attention to composition and various aspects, so I hope you continue to listen to us in the future.”
To celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2025, Mrs. Green Apple will present various projects planned under the theme 'MGA MAGICAL 10 YEARS'. They have announced the release of a best album to commemorate their 10th anniversary, a commemorative live concert, an exhibition, collaborations with major commercial facilities in Japan, and the production of their first documentary.
In particular, in Korea, they will hold their first solo concert 'MGA LIVE in SEOUL, KOREA 2025' at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium at 7 PM on the same day, following the event on the 15th. This concert sold out all seats just 5 minutes after ticket sales began.
Regarding the complete sell-out of the concert, Omori Motoki expressed, “I am really grateful. I learned that many fans have been waiting in Korea, and I am excited to meet them. I have heard that there are many Korean fans for a long time, and I am glad that our long-awaited solo concert is happening.”
After the first day of the concert, Omori Motoki shared his thoughts, saying, “I was surprised and grateful that so many Koreans came. There is group singing in Japan too, but I was amazed that Korean fans memorized the lyrics and sang along despite the language barrier. I hope the concert video is shared on social media so that Japanese fans can also feel the atmosphere of the event.”
Mrs. Green Apple is also studying the rapidly changing K-pop trends diligently. In particular, Omori Motoki mentioned, “I have met Tomorrow X Together, but we haven’t collaborated yet, so I would like to try that once,” adding, “Among bands, I am keeping an eye on Dragon Pony, which collaborated last March.”
Finally, Wakai Hiroto shared his expectations for the concert, saying, “Since this is our first concert in Korea, I think of it as a place to say ‘Nice to meet you.’ I hope you enjoy the special setlist,” while Omori Motoki added, “Please look forward to it. Thank you to the fans who have watched us with affection.”
